The Broken Oar is our surrogate home: the place where the Heroes meet to drink, enjoy themselves, get into a few bar fights, or maybe meet some prospective employers. Though we seldom actually live in the Broken Oar, we have spent many a night in its common room, and several of the Heroes have even been employed by the Broken Oar in some fashion or another (Charystra was a waitress at one time, and I have performed there every night I had a chance). Eventually, we bought the Broken Oar, and have often talked of starting a franchise (someone even came up with the idea to put inns in landlocked cities called "The Broken Axle"). Now that we have all gone off to our own projects for the time, Vicacius keeps the Broken Oar, and is currently trying to buy out my share! Perhaps the Broken Oar will remain our base of operations for some time, or perhaps we will move somewhere else -- only time will tell.
