Calafin, the brother of Curufin, who was one of the Heroes until he was killed by a wraith with a morgul weapon, becoming a wraith himself and stalking the group, joined the Heroes after the death of his brother. Since then, he has been initiated quickly into the fast-paced, dangerous life the Heroes lead, following them on their quest to retrieve the Gift of the Valar, a quest which has since led them literally into the bowels of Hell itself. Through all this, Calafin has reacted with the expected fear and surprise, but has still managed to be a valuable ally to the Heroes.
Unfortunately, Calafin was slain by the Reaper as the Heroes fought him, before the fight with Gorgoroth.
