The Heroes were lured to the House of Daggorthang by a cryptic message delivered to the Broken Oar by an emanciated man moments before he died. Upon arrival, they found the House of Daggorthang to be an enormous, elaborate manor, a place haunted by an evil they could not imagine. The manor's only inhabitants were Daggorthang himself and two of his servants, the only ones who had not run away. The manor's massive courtyard was overgrown, and dark things had made their home there. The inhabitants of the manor never left it for any reason, however. Soon, the Heroes discovered why: there was a curse on the manor, causing anyone who stepped outside of the house to die a horrible death.
The two servants who remained begged the Heroes to break the curse, which, as they had crossed the threshold and entered the manor, they were forced to do in any case if they hoped to leave again. They eventually discovered that the source of the curse was Daggorthang himself, and, when he attacked them, they slew him in a climactic battle, breaking the curse.
