NAME: Felnor

PLACE IN THE QUEST:
Felnor was one of the most notorious criminals to plague Arnor during the Third, and early Fourth Ages. Based primarily in Tharbad, his crime ring stretched from the lower reaches of the River Gwathlo in the town of Purim, all the way to the south gate of Fornost in northern Arthedain, and even into parts of Rhudaur. Felnor was obsessed with finding artifacts of magical potency and rushed to aid the vampire Lucifer Langolin in transporting the Gift of the Valar north. It is unknown exactly how the Gift came into his possession, or what possessed him perform his next deed. Once within his grasp, Felnor decided to take the Gift of the Valar to the mighty winged dragon, Risengast, in Annuminas--presumably to exchange it for something. This foolish act turned out to be his last, and Risengast impaled the unfortunate criminal with his massive horns, and took the Gift for himself. It is doubtful whether this was part of the plan. Either way, Felnor, the elusive nemesis of Drake Calithorn and the Heroes of the Broken Oar met his end.
