Hoignar is an aged dwarf who has survived many harrowing experiences, including the destruction of Moria. He is a blacksmith by trade, although he dabbles in smithing gold, silver, and even dealing with gemstones. Like most dwarves, he is intolerant of elves and a true friend of dwarves (and all who they call friends). Despite being a bit cantankerous, he is really a nice fellow. Hoignar also feels that anything dwarven is the property of a dwarf (preferably him), which leads him to claim ownership of any dwarven-crafted items that the Heroes might find.
