"Oh God…I overslept!!" I screamed as I jumped up off the couch. In a panic, I ran around searching for my bags. I had to find something nice to wear, but what??? Lucy had come into the room and asked what all the commotion was.
"He never said what time to meet him…so I had planned to get down to the beach at sunrise! AND I AM LATE!" I was yelling while I tossed my clothes all around her living room floor.
Lucy grabbed me by the shoulders and tried to calm me down. "Heather! I am sure that he will wait…it is only 8 am. Now come on, I am sure he isn't there yet. They were in Maryland last night…so, I don't expect he will be back until after noontime, at least. And Heather, that is if he took the first flight in." Lucy tried to console me.
"You are probably right, but what if he left last night…and has been sitting there since sunrise!!" I blurted out.
Lucy just helped me pick out something decent to wear. She thought it would be best to not wear anything too revealing…due to all the weight I had lost. It would only make me look worse. She helped me pick out a nice t-shirt and a pair of comfy jeans. I tied my hair back from my face, put make-up on to cover up the paleness and dark circles and brushed my teeth. Lucy just smiled at me.
"You look so beautiful Heather. I am sure that he will never notice a thing. Just be yourself and don't get nervous. Listen to him and talk to him. Things will be fine." she told me as I started to walk out the door.

"Damn! Why do our flights always have to be delayed??!!" Nick blurted out. He was getting really nervous about the time. He knew that I would be there at sunrise. His thought were the same as mine. "Come on!! It's not like there is a hurricane or anything! What is taking the plane so long??"
Howie, AJ, Kevin and Brian all just stared at him. The four exchanged glances and tried not to make it any worse that it really was. Nick was really starting to get to them. If that plane didn't get there soon, they were probably going to kill someone.
Two hours late, the plane arrived in Maryland. They boarded and were soon on their way. The flight only took three hours, but they were the longest three hours Nick had ever spent. They arrived at the airport at 1:00 pm. As they made their way down the terminal, a huge mob of girls rushed them.

I sat there in our "spot" on the beach. I watched many couples stroll back and forth, hand in hand. I wanted to be like that. I glanced at my watch…1:00 pm. I started to feel nervous. What if I missed him?
"No, he would have waited for me. I guess he is just late. I mean, he never really told me when to be here." I thought aloud.
I continued to watch the water. I watched a little girl swimming and then a little boy making a sandcastle. I was so intrigued at how simple life was for them. They were so happy, so full of life. The mother and father walked up and picked up their children. The whole family looked so happy. I leaned back in the sand and dozed off.
~~I dreamed of Nick and me…with two children. However, the children had no faces. I couldn't make out any expressions or characteristics…they were lifeless. Nick wasn't joyous from their presence. I wanted so bad to understand.~~
I woke suddenly, in a cold sweat. I knew what the dream was about. It was a way to remind me of the terrible things I had done in my life. I vowed never to allow that to happen again.
I glanced at my watch…3:00 pm. Where in the world could he be? Hmm, I started to worry again.

"Come on, ladies. The guys have to get going. They have other places to be right now." a security guard was telling the crowd.
The five of them tried to get away from the crowd. Every corner they rounded, they encountered more crazed fans. Nick kept glancing at his watch, and got more furious. He knew that I would leave soon if he didn't hurry. Finally, they broke free and made it to the limo. They climbed in and them were on their way.
"Come on guys, just drop me at the beach. I will be fine. Don't worry, I just have to hurry, she will leave without me!!" Nick pleaded.
"Geez Nick, fine…fine…just shut up already!!" AJ yelled. He had taken about as much as he could of Nick's whining.
Howie and Brian just looked at AJ. Kevin was too worried about being yelled at for his comments, so he kept his mouth shut, he thought it was safest.
The limo driver pulled up to the spot where Nick told him. Nick practically jumped out of the car, before it came to a stop. He yelled back at his friends…
"Don't worry…I will be fine…I will call you all later!"
And with that…he ran towards the beach.
