You Are the Answers To My Prayers

Chapter 27

Dee and Kevin had settled in for the evening.  After dinner, they sat on the couch watching a movie.  It had come to a love scene, and the next thing you know, the two were intertwined.  The passion between them was far more than either could take.  Kevin picked up Dee and carried her up the stairs to his room.  He was going to make this a very nice homecoming for Dee.

Kevin laid Dee on the bed and slowly started unbuttoning her shirt.  She could only tilt her head back as he continued to carefully undo each button.  He then slowly pulled her up to him, and carefully removed her shirt.  She could feel nothing but waves of excitement build in her as he started to kiss her neck. He knew that she enjoyed that.  As he nibbled on her ear lobe, there was a ring at the doorbell.

"Just ignore them." Dee managed to say in between her soft moans.

"No, no, my dear, I think I need to get that.  Just you lay back and relax…and don't move.  I will be right back." he told her.

She leaned back, just as he had ordered, and closed her eyes.  All she could think about was how bad she really wanted Kevin.  She wanted to feel his touch and to feel his body close to hers.  She just laid still for what seemed forever.

All of the sudden, she had a feeling like someone was staring at her, so she opened her eyes.  All she could see was two pairs of eyes staring straight back at her.

"AJ! What are you going here?  Kevin, what is AJ doing in your bedroom?" Dee asked, suddenly embarrassed by the fact that AJ was standing there and she was half naked.

"Well, my love, this is the surprise I had for you."  Kevin said.  "Just relax, and enjoy this." he finished.

Dee was in total shock as AJ and Kevin both approached her.  Kevin took his time caressing her and then let AJ take over where he left off.  The whole night was filled with adventure and excitement, that which the three of them had never experienced before.

Nick and I had decided to just take in a good movie at home and enjoy the time we had to spend with each other.  It had been a long week, and all I wanted to do was lay on the couch, wrapped in his arms.  It was so comforting to know that this feeling would last forever.  I treasured the moments we did have, because I knew that they would be few and far between, at least while his career was going as well as it was.

"Heather, you know that we start rehearsals on Monday, right?" Nick questioned, with a worried expression.

"Yeah, I know.  But let's not talk about that right now." I said sadly.

"Well, I was hoping we could.  I wanted to know how you felt about all this.  You know that I will be away a lot over the next four months.  Next week is Howie's birthday, then a few more weeks of rehearsals, then we start the tour in September.  From September to the first week of December, I will gone most of the time.  But, I do have a few days at Thanksgiving.  And, then, we can have our wedding." he said softly.

I knew that this Fall was going to be a rough one for both of us.  I would do most of the wedding preparations, and he would be gone so much.  I couldn't stand the thought of not seeing him everyday, but I really didn't have much choice.  It was his job, and he was my husband-to-be and I would support him in any way that I could.

"Yes, I know.  It's just so sad.  I won't have you here to hold me at night, and you will be gone so much.  I will miss you so much, and I will think of you all the time." I said, trying to hold back the tears.

"Well, look, first things first.  We need to set a date for the wedding.  That will give you something to look forward to, and the time will go by very fast." he responded.

"I have always wanted a Christmas wedding.  It is my favorite time of the year, and it would be so special for me.  Is that okay with you?  I mean, not ON Christmas day, but just before or something." I said happily.

"Umm, how about December 18?  That would make it exactly one week before Christmas.  That would be very nice.  We could make it a holiday theme for the wedding.  And your fairytale wedding could be worked in.  How about that?" Nick said with a smile.

"Oh!  That would be wonderful!  I love that idea Nick." I remarked as I reached over and hugged him.

"Then it is settled.   I will tell everyone the date and I will talk to management.  I will try to arrange it so that we can have a beautiful wedding, but keep it low key enough so that the fans won't bombard us." he smiled.

Later that evening, I went to take a nap.  I hadn't been feeling good since the early afternoon, and Nick said I was looking a little pale.  I figured it was just a slight bug, and thought a good night's sleep would do me some good.  Nick put me to bed and then went to chat on the phone with Brian.

I knew that Nick was very excited about the wedding and had to go and tell his best friend about it.  It was several hours before I heard Nick wander into the room and lay down next to me.   I looked over at him and he just gave me a huge grin.  I knew something was up, but I couldn't figure it out and I just decided to go back to sleep.  He rolled over and wrapped his arms around me and kissed me lightly on the cheek.

"I love you Heather." he said softly.

"I love you too Nickolas." I whispered in return.
