You Are The Answers To My Prayers

Chapter 72

“Wakie Wakie!!  It’s Valentine’s baby!!” Nick said as he jumped on the bed next to me.

I rubbed my eyes, and rolled over to face him.  “Huh, what did you say?” I asked groggily.

“Come on!  Get up...it’s Valentine’s and I wanted to give you your present.” Nick said impatiently.

“Nick, if it is before noon, I am going to kick your butt.” I said as I reached for the alarm clock.

“Come on hon, I wanted to take you to breakfast and give you your gift.  Pretty please.” He begged.

“Food?  Did you mention food?  I am up!!” I said sitting up.

Nick laughed as he went to the bathroom.  Our hotel room was much more comfortable than the bus, so, I took advantage of the amenities.  It wasn’t going to be often that we could sleep in a bed that wasn’t on wheels, so I enjoyed every minute I could.  I could hear Nick get into the shower, and quietly got up to get his gift from my bag.  I had handwritten the poem on some richly colored paper, and then put it in a frame that I had Denise, AJ’s mom, get for me.  With it was a single red rose and a giant Hershey Kiss.  I then put it back in my bag until it was time to give it to him.

After Nick got out of the shower, he scurried back into the room and looked through his clothes for something nice to wear.

“Nickolas, do you want your gift here, or at the restaurant?” I asked sweetly.

“Umm, if it involves you wrapped in a red bow, then I want it here.  But if not, then wherever you want to give it to me.” He said with a grin.

I giggled, and then got up and walked to the bathroom to take a shower.  Nick tried to follow me, but I wouldn’t let him. “Nick, you don’t want to see this fat body naked...trust me.  I can’t stand to look at it either!” I laughed.

“Umm, I can’t think of anything I would enjoy more.  I love you and the way you look.” He said sweetly.

Before I could close the door, he kissed me and then my tummy.  “Little baby...I love you too!”   The baby kicked as he said that...and he felt it.  His face lit up with a huge smile...and he looked content.

I took a nice long and hot shower, relaxing my entire body.  I thought of nothing but that poem I wrote, hoping that he would like it.  I couldn’t imagine what he was going to give me.  I had everything I could possibly want, so it was going to be a complete surprise to me.

Nick and I finally finished getting ready and made our way to the restaurant to eat.  As we sat there, we just stared into each others eyes.  We were so happy to have just a little moment of peace and joy.  He ordered a full array of food, and then we sat and talked.

Kevin had decided to sleep in.  He wasn’t too happy with the fact that Dee couldn’t be there with him on Valentine’s.  When he talked to her, she sounded so happy, yet he couldn’t understand why.  Dee was acting kind of strange, and it bothered him.  She told him not to try and call until late, because she wouldn’t be home.  He laid in bed staring at the ceiling until about 3:00 am and then finally fell asleep.  He thought he didn’t have to get up until late anyways, so why worry about it.

He stirred slightly and then rolled over.  As he turned over, his arm hit something next to him.  He opened one eye to see what it was, and was taken aback by the vision in front of him.

Dee was staring right back him with her beautiful eyes.  She was dressed in nothing but a very revealing chemise and was lying seductively next to him.

“Happy Valentine’s Kevin.” She whispered.

“Denise...I am so happy to see you.  Happy Valentine’s.” He whispered back and then kissed her passionately. “When did you get here?”

“I came in on the red eye last night, had Mike, you know, Heather and Nick’s bodyguard, meet me, and then escort me here.  The lady at the front desk gave me the key and I snuck in quietly.  I have been here for about 3 hours.  I hope you didn’t mind.” She said gently.

Kevin only responded with more kissing and hugging.  The two were so wrapped up in the moment, that they never heard the telephone ring.  Kevin kissed Dee on the neck, making her grow ever more excited.  She responded with gentle moans...and then she ran her fingers through his hair, making him more excited.  The two quickly became intertwined, feeling nothing but shear joy and love for each other.  The moment that they had been wanting for so long had finally arrived.  The two made love to each other, not caring about anything in the world but each other.  Kevin had missed her soft skin, her smile, and her sweet lips.  Dee had missed his muscular body, his gentle touch, and his perfect body against hers.  It was a moment in time that they wouldn’t forget.  After their long awaited interlude, the two laid together for the morning, just taking in each other’s presence.

“You know I love you Kevin, please don’t ever forget that.” Dee whispered into Kevin’s ear softly.

“Yes, and I love you very much too.  That is why I wanted to ask you something.” He replied.

“And what is that Mr. Richardson?” Dee asked softly.

“I was hoping that you would agree to be Mrs. Richardson, my love.  In other words...” he said, slowly getting up and then kneeling at the foot of the bed, and then looking into her eyes, “I was hoping you would marry me.  Will you be my wife?” he asked sweetly, his whole body trembling from nervousness.

“You’re asking me to marry you Kevin?” Dee asked, now quite stunned.

“Denise Ann Winchell, will you be my wife?” he asked again, producing a gorgeous diamond ring.

“I would be honored Mr. Richardson.  I love you so much!” Dee answered with tears streaming down her cheeks.

Their lips then met in the most passionate kiss the two had ever experienced.  A smile grew over Kevin’s face as he finally realized that Dee was going to be his wife.  “We will tell everyone later, let’s just enjoy the moment together for now.

Dee nodded and then kissed him sweetly.  “I love you.  Don’t you ever forget that.” She said as she got up to go and take a shower.  Kevin just laid there smiling.  His life was going so well, and he knew it was about time to start settling down.

After Dee had taken her shower, she came out of the bathroom to get dressed.  She looked over at Kevin, who was laying there watching her.  “Did you have it planned to ask me, Kevin?” she asked sweetly.

“Actually, I had wanted to ask you this coming weekend when you were here, but since you showed up, I thought nothing more special than to ask you on Valentine’s.” Kevin whispered and then kissed her.

“You are too sweet, Kevin.  Thank you for making the happiest woman on the earth.” Dee said as she returned the kiss.

“I love you Denise Ann.”

“And I love you Kevin Scott.”
