Spring 2021 Workshop |
The Houston Area Congregation Library Association (HACLA) was formed in October 2017, in response to the dissolution of the national Church and Synagogue Library Association, of which we were a chapter for over 30 years. Our purpose is to promote Judeo-Christian librarianship on an ecumenical basis in the greater Houston area and to preserve and protect faith-based resources for future generations. We strive to be a source of inspiration to local librarians. We have several national award-winning librarians and libraries among our ranks. Check out the page featuring libraries from our chapter! We usually meet two times a year, and we encourage you to visit us at one of our meetings or contact us if you are interested in starting or growing a library in your congregation!
