It was a fairly average day, like any other. I, ObsidianYoshi, was talking a walk, the bright sun shining off my obsidian body. I was heading over to my sister MarinYoshi's house to give her some medicine for her cold. As I strolled along, I waved to other Yoshians as I passed by. Little did I know the terror that would befall me as the week went on, for a lightyear away, an invasion was being prepared. An invasion of Yoshin, home planet of us Yoshians. At any rate, it was a fairly peaceful day, a relaxing day. I went to bed early that night, I don't know why; maybe it was just some instinct. I woke up early enough the next day to watch a beautiful sunrise. As I sipped from my Decaf Yoshger's coffee, I thought "There's no way life could get any more peaceful." Unfortunately, I was right, for that day, the attacks began. Laser blasts began to strike the planet surface. at first, everyone stayed calm. But then, when the attacks became more and more damaging, people began to worry. then the day came. The day when the remnants of the Zeal army came. Zeal, if you didn't know, was a land in the clouds that was destroyed by Lavos in 12000 BC. The army that attacked us were the remnants of the once-great army. Chaos frolicked through the streets. It was as if the end had finally come about. The Zeal soldiers shouted in an unknown language. I heard the screams of our soldiers as they died trying to defend the citizens. It was horrifying. As I looked over the chaos with a horrified look on my face, I wondered, "Oh, I hope Marin's okay!!!" I knew that I had to reach her, and find out if she was okay. I sprinted down the road, avoiding the soldiers along the way. One nearly got me with his energy spear. I reached Marin's house to find it ablaze. I shouted, "OH NO!!!", and stood there, watching the flames consume the house. Then, I saw Marin sneaking out from behind the house. "Marin!!!" I shouted, and I ran over to her. "I'm okay, Ob. I sneaked out via basement." "Are you sure you don't have any burns or anything?" "Yes Ob, I'm sure. Now, let's get outta-----ARRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!" I looked at Marin as she fell, and saw who had done it: a Zeal Army soldier. A feeling came over me, and I suddenly blasted him into oblivion with a power that I never thought I had. "HUNH???" I gasped, upon discovering my power. "But....I'm not a yoshimage......Am I?" "Ob.........I have....something....to....tell you." I kneeled down to Marin, and she began to speak. "Ob.......you........are........the......next...........Prince......of.......Darkia.......the.....commander.....of.......these.........soldiers........Call them off............brother.......call......them.......off.......uggggggh......." Marin's eyes, closed. I listened for her heartbeat, and nothing. I tried everything to get her heart and lungs going again, but nothing worked. "NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Marin, don't leave me! I need you! How am I supposed to live without you? Without the things you taught me! Marin......." I collapsed onto her and weeped for my sister. I couldn't stop mourning for my sister. She was my guide on the trail of life, and now she's gone. then, her words rang through my head: "call..........them..........off.........." "you....are....the....next....Prince....of....Darkia..." I got up and shouted, "Army of Darkia! I am ObsidianYoshi, your next leader!" the soldiers turned and faced me, and it seemed as if they were quarreling. I stood and watched, then finally, a soldier dressed in much stronger and better-looking armor stood on a crate and shouted, "You are not! I am and will always be! Though the prophecy states that a yoshi of obsidian shall be the Prince of Darkia, I happen to be heir to that throne, for my brother, the current Prince of Darkia, has passed away, making me the official Prince of Darkia! You want to be prince? I challenge you to a battle!" "I accept your challenge!" the new prince, as he called himself, motioned to the soldiers to move. The soldiers took up positions on the sidelines and waited for the battle to begin. I moved into position, and suddenly, a scythe appeared at my feet. I picked it up, and I saw the eyes of the new prince grow wide. "Y-you have the Black Scythe! That is the trademark weapon of the Prince of Darkia! It should be in my hands!" The new prince lunged at me, Dark Katanas in hand. I used the Black Scythe to knock the dark Katanas from his hands and then jumped high into the air. I came down and used a spell I never knew I had, called Black Cage. The spell trapped the new prince inside a cage of black power. I came down into the cage and cornered him. I slashed open his jugular, and he fell to the ground, blood gushing from the jugular wound. I sunk the Black Scythe into his head, and removed it, creating a geyser of blood on his head. I cut open his back and ripped out his spine. I don't know why I mutilated him; I was probably just showing the soldiers my ferocity. I deactivated the black cage and began to speak. "Now I am truly your new leader! I am the Prince of Darkia, bow down in front of me!" Every single soldier bowed down, and I smiled evilly. I was no longer a caring, friendly yoshian. Now I was a heartless tyrant. It was and still is fun to be the cruelest, most unkind and overall, most evil being in the multiverse. Since that day, when I became the Prince of Darkia, I've done many things, such as open a void between this world and the world of Chrono Trigger, so I could drain Lavos and Magus of their powers, which I succeeded in doing. I've also done away with the CT heroes and conquered the Chrono Trigger world, so to create an even larger army and build a massive empire. my home planet is now the planet of Darkia. Not to mention to countless innocents, heroes, and armies of good I've slaughtered. As you can see, I am truly a master of evil, and all of my enemies consider the day I became Prince of Darkia "The Darkest Day". Personally, I didn't think it was that bad. Hahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahaha...................
