My e-mail policy (listen up, foo's):

All stories for the doghouse will be sent to me, Doggirl, at rae@esc5.net. Be sure to include the following in your e-mail:

1: Your story (duh.) I can accept most formats, but I prefer .doc, .html, or .txt files.

2: The name of the video game (or games) your fiction is based off of. This is one of the most important rules. I NEED to know what game yer talkin' 'bout, peeps, in case I haven't played it before and don't recognize it from yer story.

3: (optional) A short clip of your story you wish to use for a "preview" (Ex: those for "Doggirl's Story," "The Siege of the Mirada," etc.) If you don't pick any particular scene out, then I'll assume you don't want a preview, and one won't be posted.

4: Your name (or nickname.) I can't put up a story if I don't know who wrote it. I think that's pretty obvious. While I'm at it, I won't accept stories that were written by other people, either (experience talking, here).

5: (optional) Your e-mail address. It would be nice if other people could read your story and e-mail comments about it to you, wouldn't it? ^_^

Got that? Story. Name. Game. Pretty simple.

The Land of Ni

Once upon a time, I hosted a Nintendo fanfic contest with the following introduction:

Long ago, in a world beyond worlds, in a time beyond time itself, a great being smashed his fist into the vastness that was the known universe, and called it creation. As the years and light-years passed, the worlds slowly drifted apart into separate universes, and even different dimensions. Life was spawned, and it evolved on each world as a mirror that reflected the evils of the planet. The more evil and hatred that resides on a world, the more evil and bloodthirsty the inhabitants of that world become. And so it has been, for millions of years.

Time and distance aided the prevention of evil from spreading from world to world. Only in the land of Ni, the birthplace of the universes, can evil not exist. Hardly a star system, much less a life form, can penetrate the sacred realm of Ni. It is the connection point between each universe that holds everything together.

So many different dimensions branch off from the land of Ni that trying to count them all would span over lifetimes. It is only with the power of the heavens that I am able to tell you of these few...

The contest itself is long defunct, but you can still find traces of the "Ni legacy" floating around the library. Please tread lightly.
