My Inspiring Friend

The years have gone by so fast and we've been through so much.
We've gotten so close that we can comfort each other with just a touch.

Many a tear have been shed on each other's shoulders.
We have watched each other get just a little bit older.

Still with age you are the most beautiful person I've ever seen.
Your eyes still shine with a bright star light beam.

To you I look up to and what I want to be.
Beautiful, caring, smart and loving as everyone can see.

Follow in your footsteps is what I try to do.
That is because I want to be just like you.

You are my sister even if not by birth.
More than gold is what I feel you are worth.

You have been there to listen to me.
Even if you disagree you have never judged me.

When I got pregnant with your friend's child,
I thought for sure I have lost my friend now.

I thought that you would take his side.
But right beside me is where you would abide.

There are so many things that I could add.
but they are times that have been done and had.

We have new things to look forward to in the years.
Lots of smiles and I am sure there will be tears.

But as in the past I will be there for you.
As I know, there for me you will be too.

We are as true a friends as you can get.
I am so glad that we finally met.

You are my inspiring friend.
You push me to go on through this miserable life.

You are there to hold my hand.
You are there to help me make my stand.

With you by my side I am strong.
With you by my side this life doesn't seem so wrong.

Because of you my heart is able to mend.
Because of you, my inspiring friend.
