We Could
We could dance our life away and dream so free
Pretend there's no tomorrow and live for today
But the sun light will soon turn to the cold night
The day will end but there's always more to look for
We could be like kids running through a meadow
No cares or worries in the world to trouble us
The grass and trees will soon turn to dust
But seeds have been planted to raise another life
We could walk on the beach with arms embraced
Waves crashing the shore, sand beneath our feet
But the ocean soon eats away the earth and soul
The sun sets in the distance but you're still by my side
We could run together through puddles in the rain
Look up at the sky while heavenly water pours down
But this water can wash away our hopes and dreams
It can also release us of burdons and set us free
