What Will It Take
What will it take for me to speak to you?
I know you would make my life more complete.
I wake up everyday thinking only of you
But I know the way you think of what I do.
Walking through my mind you tread so softly
As if only hoping I might not feel you.
I know you're there, resting in my mind
As heavy as a stone, I can't let you get away.
I know you feel it too. Regretful things unsaid,
Things that takes us down but only if we had the chance.
Saying one or two words my have changed our lives.
Thats all it takes now. Speak up, speak now.
I might look back now but only to wonder
What could have been though things never change.
Head between my hands tears sweeping my face
Thoughts soon drift away but they are all I have.
Things could be different but I will never know.
Always 'What if' and 'How', if I could do something now.
I've learned from my past to say what's in my heart
Things will get better but I must be their start.
