| Ever wonder how Auto's grappling hook could just shoot out of his sleeve in "The King of Thieves", or how he could hide so many contraptions in his boot in "The End Of The Beginning"? Perhaps you were wondering just where in his tunic Autolycus could conceal a silver service set for six in "Just Passing Through"? Or perhaps exactly where did he really hide that lock pick in "One Fowl Day"? Okay, I won't go into where he hid his lock pick but I do have a theory behind how he manipulates his grappling hook from beneath his sleeve. I call it The Autolycus Holdout. |
The Autolycus Holdout is a harness of pulleys, cords and telescoping silver plated tubes. It reaches from the thief's forearm to his shoulders and down his chest to his knees. To activate the holdout, Autolycus only had to extend his arm out and a claw like "sneak" concealed between his two layers of clothing would move toward his hand. You can see how the holdout works in the following pictures. |
Ever wonder what a holdout looks like? Below is an picture of The Autolycus Holdout Device. Please be patient, it takes a while to load. |
