The heat was as oppressive as it was most definitely hot
So Iolaus went down to his favorite fishing spot
The fish were not biting as it seemed to be their whim
The mosquitoes and gnats were, so he decided on a swim
He slipped off his vest, his pants and his boots
He wiggled his toes between the mud and the roots
And with a big splash he dived in the pool
Invigorating fresh, and invitingly cool
He heard a giggle at the edge of the bank
A gaggle of Iolausians decided on a prank
One held up his vest, another his pants
One was trying on his boots as if in a trance
They ran through the woods with their prizes in tow
Hoping Iolaus wouldn't think them too low
He giggled to himself, "the joke's not on me"
