Ok folks I just got done watching the second installment of the new CBS "Survivor" show. Now I'll admit that the only reason I made it to show #2 is because during show #1 I was fighting with an "ex", and that can really make you hate even the best of shows. But after watching this corn ball piece of dog shit for the second time I realized that I was right--as am I always!!
In case you don't know how the T.V. world works let me give you a fast passed crash course in "Marketing 101". " Hey I want a show that resembles the "Real Puck World" on that crappy no budget station MV2. I heard it makes allot of money this Puck show, and we can take this hunk of junk and make it better!!! I mean we're CBS for christ sakes we're the guys who make 'Matlock', and you know the kids love 'Andy', so we can make a ton of money! We all know that people love these type of "real" shows, but 'M2Vue' has no budget and the American people wanna see the same show but with millions invested!"
That's basically how it goes. Some numb nuts executive hears something at a fancy french fag nasty party and he decides to con rich folks out of money to produce...excuse me...waste millions of dollars making something he heard at a party.
Here's the deal folks. The reason MTV's "Real World" is so popular is because it has no budget. It makes us all feel like we're peeping into someones real life. No one peaks into real life with 12 robotic cameras, and 3 gigantic panavision cameras. We, the public, want the crappy 16mm, we want to see the camera man fart while filming. We want to see real life, not what some "suit" thinks is real life.
What is the point of all of this?
A. Don't trust the French
B. never let your girlfriend blow you while she's mad, no matter how horny you are. You gotta treat blow jobs like food and swimming. Let the broad cool down for 4 hours before jumping in.
And C. Never assume a show will be better just because the budget is higher, that's usually a sign of decay. Art is best when its poor and, lonely, and hateful! not when it's on CBS!
