This Too Shall Pass!
As sure as the sun will rise, so will trouble and bad times,
that’s why it’s so important to focus on what’s right;
Emotions are as unpredictable as the wind, sometimes shiftier,
but stubborn faith is always stronger than inconsistent might.
I must say that my ups have been high, and my downs have been low,
I’m living proof that both will never last;
because I know with every sunshine some rain must fall,
so just remember. . . this too shall pass.
Life would be so easy if it wasn’t for the people,
because we make it much harder than it has to be;
Sometimes our enemies come disguised as our friends,
lying to themselves, and consequently, to you and me.
I guess there could be no joy without some pain,
that’s why neither seems to ever really last;
but we must endure the bitter as well as the sweet,
so just remember. . . this too shall pass.
I just keep my head up, and put my faith in God,
and make sure that all my prayers have feet;
Because miracles only happen for those who believe,
no matter how many times you’ve faced defeat.
They say that tough people learn to endure tough times,
because heartaches and heartbreaks never last;
So appreciate the rose, but respect the thorns,
and just remember, eventually, . . . this too shall pass !
