Job Summary: This position is primarily responsible for shooting and editing scheduled and nonscheduled news events for news.
Specific Job Duties:
Shooting and editing while embracing the philosophies and techniques espoused by the National Press Photographers Association Participating in the news gathering and story development process working closely with reporters, producers, assignment editors and anchors to produce a high quality stories Operating and maintaining assigned news vehicle Maintaining assigned video equipment and associated ENG gear. Additional duties as assigned by the news director or chief photographer
Skills Required/Qualifications:
At least one (1) year experience as a news videographer in a broadcast news room environment desired Microwave ENG van experience desired Knowledge of Panasonic DVC Pro cameras and editors a plus Must have the ability to work under pressure from meeting frequent deadlines Must be willing to work shifts as assigned including weekends, weeknights, overnights and holidays as needed Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds Must have or be able to obtain a valid California driver license. Must be able to furnish a copy of DMV printout upon acceptance of position.
