This is a bottle cover designed just for mamas who give their babies expressed breastmilk in a bottle. ("Milkies" is one of the more common pet names for nursing that I've come across.) The cover is sized to fit a 4oz Soothie or Avent bottle.

Materials
sport weight yarn in two colors--main color (MC) & contrasting color (CC)
4mm hook
yarn needle

GaugeThe first 3 rounds are slightly more than 1", & 5DC in the first round is 1". It's a stretchy fabric.

With MC, ch 36 Join w/slst to make circle.

1) Ch 3 (counts as DC here & throughout). DC in each remaining ch. 36dc

2) Skip first st. DC in second st. Place next DC in first st. Work rest of the round as follows: Sk one st. DC into next st. DC into skipped st (Whether you put your hook to the front or back of the stitch is academic, but it will produce a slightly different look. If you're not familiar with crossed DCs, try it both ways to see which you prefer; I work mine in the back). Join to first st (which is actually the second one you worked) with a slst. 36 DC in 18 pairs of crossed sts.

3)Ch 3. DC in each st around. Join as before. 36dc

4 - 11 ) Ch 1. Sc in same st. Sc in each rem. st. Join as before. 36sc

12) Ch 2. Sk first st; sl st in next st. *Ch 2, skip 1 st; slst in next st* around. End with ch 2, slst in first slst. Finish off.

With CC, embroider "Milkies" on the sc part of the cover, using the photo below as a rough guide.
