"So Teddy, what'd you and Sweetheart do last night?" He turned around to find a tan pony leaning against the lockers with a sly grin on his face.
"Whatta ya mean?" Teddy tried his best to sound as clueless and innocent as he could, but it just couldn't be done. Ace had already seen right through him, before Teddy even opened his mouth.
"Oh please, spare me the innocence routine. You and Sweetheart had sex last night, didn't you?" Ace's grin grew larger as Teddy was overtaken by utter shock.
"How the fuck do YOU know?!? Who told you that?" Teddy glanced around, making sure no one else was listening in. He remembered what Sweetheart had said about keeping it a secret, how could it have gotten out already?
"C'mon, I've known you since we were kids, I can tell. So, how was it, oh deprived one?" Ace just couldn't resist, tormenting Teddy about being the last male virgin in their senior class (besides goodie-two-shoes Lancer) was what he lived for.
"You fuckin' asshole! If you tell anyone I'll..."
"Damn Teddy, CHILL! Are you always this high-strung after getting laid? Oh wait, you wouldn't know would you?" Ace laughed, knowing this final slam would either snap Teddy out of it or push him over the edge. He didn't really care which, he had an extra five minutes to kill anyways.
"Does being a complete asshole run in your family or were you just blessed?" Teddy struggled to keep a straight face as Ace burst out laughing even harder, he was in the clear.
Sweetheart leaned over the buffet counter as she put the finishing touches on her salad. "Oh my god, Sweetheart, is it true??" Sweetheart looked up to see a very excitable Melody, impatiently awaiting an answer.
"About what Melody?" Sweetheart was genuinely clueless as to what Melody was inquiring about.
Melody dashed around to the other side of the counter, just as Bright Eyes and Starlight walked up with their trays. "About you and Teddy!"
"What about us?"
Melody hushed her voice so only the four of them could hear, "That you guys, you know, did it last night?"
"WHAT?!?" Sweetheart looked around nervously, that had come out a little louder than she had intended. Everyone seemed to be looking at her, laughing..."Where did you hear that? Who told you that??"
"Well I heard it from Spinner," Melody answered.
"Yeah, and Mack told me," added Starlight.
"I heard it from Dandy," said Bright Eyes.
Sweetheart turned bright red, she had never been so embarrased in her life. How did everyone know? Who could've...Teddy! It must've been him, she hadn't told a sole, and no one else was there at the time, obviously. She was so humiliated, but her embarrassment faded as anger took over when she saw Teddy walk into the crowded lunchroom with Ace and Mack. Sweetheart lost all self-control, she pushed her friends aside and made a bee-line straight to the deceiver himself.
Teddy spotted Sweetheart as she walked toward him, he started to smile but realized something was wrong. She didn't look happy, she almost looked angry! He had never seen Sweetheart angry before.
Sweetheart stopped about two feet away from him, raised her right hoof up, and slapped him. She surprised herself with how hard she hit him, and that she actually HIT him. "Everybody KNOWS!! Jerks like you NEVER change!" Sweetheart turned and ran out, she couldn't look at him any longer. She felt so dirty and ashamed.
Teddy was even more surprised by Sweetheart's actions than she was, he was speechless, and in pain! "Damn, that really hurt!" Then the seriousness of what had just happened sunk in. Teddy knew he hadn't told anyone what they had done, the only one who knew was....Teddy turned to look at Ace, he had never felt so betrayed. He was too angry for words, managing only a very angry and hurt glare at Ace before running to catch Sweetheart.
