O-Town

A Difinitve Review

Well, the Fat Man actually did it. He put together a boy band on a tv show, and they got a record deal. let's hear it for O-Town. Hey, they give our website a shout out before their performances. Maybe you heard it on the show: "O-Town. Keepin' it Real." They love us, so in turn, we love them. ANYWAY, I'm here to review the album for y'all. So, I'll do that now. Let's go.
Liquid Dreams: Okay, if this isn't the most disgustin song title of all time, I don't know what is. This song is pretty cheesy, and the lyrics are kinda dumb, but all in all, it's got a great beat. I think the producers of this album used the same beats from Destiny's Child's The Writing's on the Wall. They're very similar. Anyway, great track. I love how Erik says "Angelina Jolie's lips to kiss in the dark." Erik rules.

Every Six Seconds: This song is also in the "Dirty Pop" category. I like it though. Danny's voice comes through VERY strong. That's what I like about him. His voice is powerful and sounds badass when blended with the other guys. (And, yes, I call him Danny, not Dan. Get over it.)

Girl: I like this song a lot. It just makes me dance around like a maniac.

Sexiest Woman Alive: Erik said on TRL that this was his favoirte song on the album. I like it, but personally, it almost sounds like a 2gether song to me. It's borderline parody, which is cool, if they meant it to be like that, but I don't think they did. It's a good track, but you know...

Love Should Be a Crime: I love love love love this song. It should be the next single. It kicks ass. It's got a totally differnt non-boy band sound. Jacob's voice was MADE for this song. I love it. I can't stop listening to it. It makes me happy like you wouldn't believe. (It's also Ash's favorite song. He and I were made for each other.)

Shy Girl: Holy LFO songs, Batman. This song is catchy (it's been stuck in my head since Tuesday), but it lacks any real substance. Not my favorite.

All or Nothing: This song is beautiful. Erik and Danny kick ASS on this track. Their voices work really well together. I would just like to take this opportunity to say that I'm glad Danny is in the group and not Ikaika. Thank you. *steps off soapbox*

Sensitive: I like this track. It's another dancing-around-like-a-maniac song.

The Painter: I like this song. It think it's cute, but kinda corny. Nati doesn't like it. I don't know. I think it's a sweet concept that's just a little underdeveloped. Oh well.

Take Me Under: Oh, Jacob Underwood, how I love thee. Because of this song, I want to have 193754 of his babies. However, it was better when he produced it in Germany. Dakari (who produced it for the labum) took out the coolest parts of Jake's arrangements. Oh well, it's still a badass track and Jacob is still a god in my mind.

All for Love: Bayyyyy-bayyy! I like this song, but I wouldn't have put it on the album. It's on the single, and the fans have already heard it about 209306473843536 times.

Baby I Would: Okay, so don't kick me for saying this, but I think this song sounded better with Ikaika. *ducks punches and rotten fruit* It's still good!! It's still a hit song, but I think Ikaika added a little something that's missing. I don't know. I hate Ikaika as much as the next guy, but I liked what he did in this song.

So, there you have it. My opinion on O-Town's self-titles debut album, available whereever albums are sold, on J Records.
