Tuggeranong Presbyterian Church - SOUND SYSTEM SETUP

1. Connections

Note: Connect all leads before powering up; then turn on the small keyboard mixer; then turn on the large main mixer.

The microphone leads to connect are: 4way mic lead from the main mixer Lo-Z 1 to 4 (PAD switches out), to a position in front of the singers, then microphone lead coloured black to the lecturn PEAVEY mic on the lecturn mic clamp, yellow to the flute PEAVEY mic on the stand, blue and red to the vocalists' AKG and BEHRINGER mics.

The keyboard leads to connect are: 4way lead from the main mixer Hi-Z 6 (PAD switch in) to the keyboard mixer MAIN OUT L using the red connectors (doesn't matter which end goes where); grey coiled lead from the keyboard mono output (use the right-angle connector end) to the keyboard mixer input channel LINE IN 1.

The speaker leads to connect are: using the two long leads, from the main mixer SPEAKERS R and L (doesn't matter A or B) to the corresponding speakers on the stands; if the monitor speaker is available, using the shortest lead, from the SPEAKERS MONITOR (doesn't matter A or B) to the monitor speaker in front of the singers.

The power leads to connect are: power extension cord, power board, main mixer power lead, recorder power lead (if the large recorder is available), and power supply to the keyboard mixer.

2. Powering up

Turn on the keyboard mixer (PHANTOM doesn't need to be on), and then turn on the main mixer (POWER switch on the rear).

3. Operation

Turn on microphone switches on flute PEAVEY mic and vocal AKG mic.

Turn controls as indicated on the photos.

4. Packup

When finished, turn off the main mixer then the keyboard mixer.

Disconnect all leads and packup.
