Vivrette, Prominent Farmer Dies Tuesday.
Cage Vivrette, one of the most prominent and well
known farmers of Western Kentucky, died at his home near Clinton at 12 o’clock.
Tuesday night, June 25. He had been in ill health for about six weeds and was
in the Riverside hospital at Paducah three weeks. He was 82 years of age and
was actively engaged in farming and livestock business until he had became ill
six weeks before his death.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3
o’clock from his residence. Rev. M. H. Alexander, pastor of the West Clinton
church will conduct the funeral rites. Mr. Vivrette was a member of the New
Chapel Methodist Church of Hickman County.
He was born in Saline County, Illinois, and moved to
Hickman County when he was a young man. He has been in the livestock business
and engaged in farming on the large Vivrette farm north of Clinton for the past
40 years. He was known throughout
Western Kentucky and sections of Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Missouri and
Southern Illinois as an outstanding livestock trader. He had a host of friends throughout this section of the county.
He is survived by Four daughters, Mrs. Miles Lee, Charleston, Mo, Mrs. Walter Turnbow, Jackson, Miss, Mrs. L, survive himeon Hopkins, Charleston, Mo., and Mrs. Harvey Turnbow, Brookhaven, Miss., Six grandchildren, Cage Vivrette Lee, Charleston, Mo., Lawson Vivrette Turnbow, U.S. Army, LaHarve, France, Billy Payne Hopkins, U.S. Army, South Pacific Harvey Lee Turnbow, Navy Key West, Fla., Mrs. Kelly James, Charleston< Mo., and Mrs. Ray Callahan, Charleston, Mo. One sister, Mrs. Julia Russell of Clinton. His wife and five brothers preceded him in death. His wife Died in 1936.

Cage Vivrette, 81 years, Father of Mrs. Miles Lee and Mrs. Leon Hopkins, Died
early Wednesday morning at his home near Clinton, Kentucky after a several
weeks illness, following an operation.
Funeral
services were held this afternoon (Thursday) 3 o’clock, at his home. Interment
was made in the cemetery at Clinton, Kentucky.
