None, This a personal collection of links maintained by one person.
- How do you find the links for this page?
Mostly from search engines. Some from business adds in the newspapers, signs ect.
Some come from people that e-mail me one that I have missed.
- How do you decide what links to put on this page?
First I look at the phone numbers and address listed on the web page.
I then see how it relates to the City of Waller and the Waller ISD School district.
I only put an out of district link on when I feel like gives a better understanding of our town/area.
- Why do you not include links for Hempstead, Brookshire, Monaville, Pattison, and parts of Katy that are in Waller County ?
This is not a page about Waller County. I have to draw the line somewhere.
This has already turned into a bigger project than I have time to maintain.
I have even had a business in Tomball offer to be a paid sponsor on this web page and I turn him down.
I would take a sponsor from a Waller business.
- How did the web page get started?
When I first started looking on the internet in about 1994(?) I had a hard time finding any thing related to Waller, TX. When I did I book marked the page.
I was about to change computers and was looking for a way not to lose my book marks. Netscape had a feature to convert book marks to a HTML page.
So I uploaded this to my personal web page for safe keeping.
I found it nice to be able access my bookmarks about Waller, TX from other peoples computers. Some people thought that this was cool.
I then enhanced the page and found its on address.
- Why do I get popups from this page? Why are the sometimes unrelated links in the boxes at the top of the page?
I do not have sponsors or the money to pay for monthly hosting of this web page.
I make use of the free web space at www.angelfire.com
I do pay about $10 a year to keep the address www.WallerTexas.net
which just sends you to real location.
- What programs do I use to maintain this page?
I mostly just use the notepad in windows. When I fist started with this web page (with Windows 3.1) and tried a program to create a web page but it kept make the links point to my C:/ drive on computer and I did not know any other way to fix it.
I have found a few other good programs over the years, but I just always seem to come back to notepad. It is on almost every computer anyway.
