Dear Classmates:

The reunion committee is pleased to announce information regarding our upcoming reunion! We have received numerous calls, cards, e-mails, and other correspondence from around the globe. It seems we have classmates everywhere. Everyone wants details, details, details... so here they are!

As you may know, the reunion date has been set for Saturday, July 13, 2002. The registration fee for classmates, their spouses and members of other classes is $70 per person. The registration fee for teachers and parents who are interested in attending is $40 per person . This fee must be made by July 1, 2002 so that guarantees can be made with the hotel regarding available space and food. The registration fee will cover the cost of the scholarship, reunion gifts, supplies, postage, awards, banquet food, hotel tax/gratuity and audio visuals. Checks or money orders should be made payable to: Waller High School Reunion . Correspondence and payment should be sent to : WHS Reunion c/o Lenice D. Brown - P.O. Box 875 Prairie View, TX, 77446. You will receive a receipt for your contribution within (5) working days.

Overnight rooms have been negotiated at (2) Houston area hotels for your convenience. Information regarding both are enclosed. To make a reservation, you must contact the hotel directly and ask for the Waller High School Reunion rate. The Hotel Intercontinental has a rate of $99 + tax. (Our banquet will be held in this hotel.) Drury Inn & Suites has offered us a rate of $62.99 + tax. (This hotel is located just across the freeway from the Hotel Intercontinental.) The cut-off date for room reservations is Sunday, June 30, 2002.

For classmates arriving from either airport, Express Shuttle USA (713.523.8888) will transport you to either hotel. The cost from Bush Intercontinental Airport is $36 round trip/ $20 one way. The cost from Houston Hobby Airport is $26 round trip/ $15 one way. Shuttles run daily from 7:00AM to 11:00PM Look for the red phone in the baggage claim area.

In the interest of time and space, you will be receiving additional correspondence regarding the Happy Hour and the Picnic. We are simply delighted that so many of the classmates have responded favorably to this event. We look forward to seeing all of you there!
