"Norma Ann Beene David, of Amarillo, formally of Dalhart, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014.Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Jo Roberts Mann officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery at Dalhart. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.Ann was born Feb. 11, 1942, in Mexia to Rex and Alta Beene. She graduated from Mexia High School in 1960. Ann married Frank Richard "Dick" David on July 8, 1961, in Mexia. Ann and Dick lived in Dalhart for 36 years, from 1969 to 2005, when they moved to Amarillo to be near their children and grandchildren. "Gran" was a faithful supporter of all her grandchildren's sporting events and activities.Ann was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a great cook, an exceptional homemaker and hostess to family and friends. Ann was a loyal and faithful friend, therefore, blessed with many very dear friendships. She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and active in the Altar Guild at St. James Episcopal Church in Dalhart. Ann truly enjoyed playing bridge and sharing coffee with her girlfriends. She spent many years playing golf with the ladies golf group at Dalhart Country Club.She was preceded in death by her husband Dick; her parents; and brothers-in-law, John David, Duane Huckabee and Bob Wilcoxson.Survivors include two sons, Michael David and wife Kris and Kent David and wife Cyndi, all of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Halie David and fiancé Zach Maynard of Fort Worth, Nolan David of College Station, Cole David, Claire David and Will David, all of Amarillo; two sisters, Elaine Huckabee and Debbie Beil, both of Mexia; three brothers, Kenneth Beene and wife Bernice of Abbott, Dan Beene and wife Sally of Mexia and Bill Beene and wife Pam of Fairfield; a sister-in-law, Julie David Wilcoxson of Dalhart; and many special nieces and nephews.The family would like to thank Dr. Alan Keister and Dr. Jesus Sahad for their continued care and support of Ann.The family suggests memorials be to St. James Episcopal Church, 801 Denver, Dalhart, TX 79022; St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 1601 Georgia St., Amarillo, TX 79102; or a favorite charity.The family will receive guests from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at the funeral home. "Frank Richard "Dick" David, 75, of Amarillo died Tuesday, April 30, 2013.Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Jo Mann officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.Dick was born May 10, 1937, in Corsicana to W. Lewis and Mary Jo David. He graduated from Corsicana High School in 1955 before his enlistment in the Army in 1956. There he served in Germany and was honorably discharged in 1960. He married Norma Ann Beene on July 8, 1961, in Mexia. Dick attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 1967. He was a faithful Aggie for life. Together, he and Ann lived in Dalhart for 36 years from 1969 to 2005, when they moved to Amarillo to be near their children and grandchildren. He had been a faithful supporter of all of his grandchildren's sporting events, especially the Amarillo High School Sandies and the Dragon Baseball team.He was preceded in death by his brother, John <http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=104378849>, in 1983; his father, Lewis, in 1990; and his mother, Mary Jo, in 2004.Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Ann of Amarillo; two sons, Michael David and wife Kris and Kent David and wife Cyndi, all of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Halie David of Lubbock, Nolan David of College Station, Cole David and Claire David and Will David, all of Amarillo; a sister-in-law, Julie David Wilcoxson of Dalhart; and several nieces and nephews.The family suggests memorials be to XIT A&M Club; John David Memorial Scholarship Fund, in care of the Amarillo Area Foundation, 801 S. Filmore St., Suite 700, Amarillo, TX 79101; St. James Episcopal Church in Dalhart, TX 79022; St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Amarillo; or a favorite charity.The family will receive guests from 5 to 7 p.m. today at 5006 Aberdeen Pkway in Amarillo.
