The Waco Tribune-Herald is an American daily newspaper serving Waco, Texas and vicinity.

The newspaper has its roots in five predecessors, beginning with the Waco Evening Telephone in 1892. The Tribune-Herald took its current identity when E.S. Fentress and Charles Marsh, who owned the Waco News-Tribune, bought the Waco Times-Herald. That purchase was the beginning of Newspapers, Inc., a chain which eventually owned 13 newspapers. Founded 1892 (as the Waco Evening Telephone).
"Charles E. "Buddy" Sunday, 67, of Forest Glade, passed away Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at his home with his loving family at his side. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at the Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jay Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery. Buddy was born in Mexia, Texas, to the late Jesse Edward and Alta Louise Person Sunday. He married Patricia Ann (Patsy) Boehme in 1971 and they enjoyed 40 years of marriage. Buddy worked at the Mexia State School in the Maintenance Department for 34 years. Buddy enjoyed fishing, gardening, carpentry, and keeping his yard. He is survived by his wife, Patsy, of Forest Glade; daughter, Laurie Ann Murphey, of Mexia; grandsons, Hunter and Garret Morton, and David Murphey; sisters, Judy Vickery and husband, J.T., of Groesbeck, Brenda George and husband, Steve, of Corsicana; brother, Mike Sunday and wife, Doris Ann, of Mexia; his step-father, John E. "Kink" Ridge, of Groesbeck; aunt, Doris Harp, of Mexia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many other family members and friends."

He was a lifelong resident of Mexia and a graduate of Mexia High School, Class of 1980. He was a 20 year employee of the Texas Department of Corrections.On July 29, 1985, Mickey married the love of his life, Tracy Bowen at the First Baptist Church in Mexia. They were proudly blessed with a daughter, Lindsey Marie. He loved his family so much and enjoyed spending time with his girls at home and on many family trips.Mickey was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and a great friend to so many, young and old. He always had a warm greeting and a smile for everyone he met. Mickey will be remembered as the ultimate cheer dad, connoisseur of rock & roll and one who met lifes challenges with dignity and grace. He was preceded in death by his father, Garland Dean Hancock. Mickey is survived by his wife, Tracy Hancock of Mexia; daughter, Lindsey Hancock of Mexia; mother, Carolyn Hancock of Mexia; brothers, Terry Hancock and wife, Kim of Denton and Kenny Hancock of Mexia; nieces and nephews, Ryan Hancock, Ashley Hancock, Katie Hancock, Jennifer and Chris Mulkey and Josh and Kimberly Epperson; other relatives and numerous friends.Pallbearers will be Mike Cain, Tony Killingsworth, Kelly Lauderdale, Alan Ingram, Dave Chilcoat, Kent Kendall, Jonnie Masters, Steve Minchew and Freddy Mack Tweedle. Honorary pallbearers will be Kreig Ingram and Kody Ingram."
