Retired from Missouri Pacific Railroad, where he was Secretary to the Auditor, I & GN Division. Served 17 years on Board of Trustees, Palestine Independent School District. Later, served on Anderson County School Board. A Mason and a Shriner -- had a Masonic graveside service.
A teacher, homemaker, and oil-and-gas real estate administrator. Attended University of Texas, Southern Methodist University, and graduated from Sam Houston State University (Huntsville, TX).
