"General Information: After the death of John M.Wilson's mother, Margaret Crow, between 1807 and 1817,John, his father Josiah and at least two others in the family, his twin sisters Sarah (Sallie) and Betsey , moved to what is now Lincoln County, Mo. They lived in Lincoln County about 3 or 4 years, they then moved to what is now Sevier County, Arkansas. The family lived in the Sevier County area, and then in Minden, La.
It is known that John Wilson had 4 sons who served in the Confederate Army. Only one of the 4 returned. Washington Lee Wilson was the survivor and we know a great deal about him. It is not known at this time when Matilda, John's first wife died. He married Martha Henriett a Flinn Henderson, in Homer, Louisiana. She had children when she married John Wilson, among them W. E. Henderson. He lived in Terrell, Texas in the early 1900's. W. E. Henderson's daughter was Mrs. Renrick B. Mosley.
