He was a tiny man in comparison to his sons and grandsons. Story has it he was a tough, abrasive man.

She never married. She took care of her parents after her father ran off her fiance with a shotgun. This was the unfortunate job of the eldest daughter at this time. She was a kind and gentle soul. When she got old and suffered from hardening of the arteries and dementia she would dream that her fiance was coming back to pick her up. She would pack her suitcase and wait all day by the door. She once walked seven miles down dirt roads in the rain at age 70 to "meet her fiance and elope with him." She lived out her life with her brother Josiah Wilson and his wife Minnie Smyers.
Frank is the adopted son of Frank Letcher and Mary Agnes Scaling McNeny and the husband of Anna Lou Coffman. He is buried on the Ray and Euleta Taylor Coffman lots at Whispering Waters.
