1994-1998
Old San Francisco TOY MAKERS began
manufacturing WCW figures in mid 1994. Most of the early figures
they produced had poor articulation, if any. They resemble the
WWF LJN figures of the 1980's. In 1998 Toy Makers produced its
last line of WCW figures with the 12 inch special limited edition
figures. They halted production when WCW switched companies from
Toymakers to Toy Biz. Two years later Toymakers began producing
wrestling figures again with the new release of ECW figures. The
articulation and detail of the newer ECW figures are much better
than the WCW figures. TOY MAKERS is constantly improving their
products and may soon have the most detailed figure producer. To
