It's been awhile since I've been
able to post on here. Like a fool, I have the info (to get to the area I
need to be to post news) on my computer... and the computer has been
down!!! "Hammerhead" got it fixed somehow. He has inherited his dad's
mechanical abilities. Then "jakob" gave it a few final tweaks and put it
back online. I'm not a trusting soul I suppose, I'm trying to get as much
info from the computer to the webtv as possible, just to be safe mind you.
It's the last month of school here in Texas and that means one school activity after another. We had the AFJROTC banquet recently. Our "thrasher" recieved two more ribbons. I think "grunge" recieved 5 or so. "Grunge" was one of the speakers for the program. We are very proud of them both. The AFJROTC also presented the first ever founders day program for our school. The school was named for a war hero named James Connally. Unfortunatly the program was outdoors, and several of the kids went down from the heat. "Hammerhead"'s 5th grade class had their D.A.R.E. program also. Being the graduating D.A.R.E class for 2000, the program was changed up a little - a nice change I might add. They followed it up with a slide presentation of all of the 5th graders in their classes, just being silly. That was really fun. Oil Spill has definetly called it quits. It's probably for the best as 3 of the members graduate on May 27th and move on with ther lives. I have joined another active web-ring, this one is called The Women's Garden. They have a monthly newsletter and have asked me to write a monthly column about.. well... whatever I chose. And this morning I found out I will also be doing the recipe column. EEK!!! The ladies are a lot of fun and we have had many laughs together. I have made a Mother's Day dedication page for TWG Mom's day contest. It
turned out to be wonderful therapy. It has people all over the net
boo-hooing though. LOL That really wasn't my intention. I'm off to find recipes. Oh what
fun.... |
