2. Johanna Marie Bartz

Johanna Marie Bartz was born in Posen Province Germany the 10th day of May 1862. She was baptized in early childhood and confirmed at the age of 14 years at her curch in Germany. She came to the United States the 17th day of October 1882 with Wilhelm Tonn. They landed at the Port of Galveston in Texas. From Galveston she wnent to Waldeck (Fayette County), Texas where she lived with her Uncle (Reich).

On the 5th day of December 1882 she was married to Wilhelm John Tonn in a country church in LaGrange, Texas. They later moved to Williamson County near Walburg, Texas, and began farming. Eleven children were born to Wilhelm and Marie, with three children preceding her in death. marie passed away while living with her daughter, Mrs. Minnie Volney, on November 23, 1950, at the age of 88.

Wilhelm John Tonn was born on June 20, 1857, in Wongvantz, Germany and died on December 26, 1944, in Walburg Texas


3. William Carl Bartz

William Carl Bartz was born in Posen Province Germany the 26th day of March 1866. He worked very hard in his young days in Germany. William and his sister Mary cut feed by hand from daylight until dark with their pay being just enought to by a loaf of bread. There was never enought to buy shoes so they wrapped their feet in old rags to keep them warm.

William came to the United States from Emdem, Germany on the vessel "Emdem", arriving at Port New York in 1886. From New York he traveled to Ledbetter, (Fayette County), Texas, and from there to the Williamson County area. His first job was driving a greight wagon from Walburg to Austin, Texas. In 1896 he applied for his naturalization papers and became a citizen of the United State4s on the 28th day of May that same year.

On April 24, 1896, he was united in marriage to Emma Henrietta Doehre in Walburg, Texas, by the Rev. Sieck. They moved on a farm in the Walburg Community and started their live fogether. Nine children were born to William and Emma with one Daughter preceding them in death. In 1908 he purchased a farm in the Honah Community where he lived until 1918. Selling this farm he purchased another at Jarrell, Texas, where he lived until his death on April 13, 1922, at the age of 56 years.

Emma Henrietta (Doehre) Bartz was born in Chapel Hill, jTexas, on February 19, 1876, and passed away at the Georgetown Hospital on December 29, 1954m at the age of 78 years.


4. Louise Augusta Bartz

Louise Augausta (Bartz) Behrens was born in Posen, Gernamy (now Poland) the 24th day of April 1867. She came to the Untied States with her brother William Bartz in the year 1886 arriving on the vessel "Emdem" at Port New York. She sailed from Emdem, Germany. From New York she traveled to Ledbetter, (Fayette County) Texas.

On the 5th day of July 1889 she was united in marriage to Andreas Behrens in Giddings, Texas. Fifteen Children were born to Andreas and Augusta Behrens, four of which preceded her in death. She also raised four step-children who lost their mother at a very early age.

Some years later they moved to Williamson County on a farm in the Walburg Community. In 1909 they moved to San Saba, jTexas, where they purchased a ranch. Here they lived until her husband passed away in May 1940. Andreas Behrens was born in Ausfriesland, Germany, the 30th day of November 1850. After her husband's death, Augusta Behrens bought her a home in san Saba, Texas, where she lived until her death on September 29, 1948, at the age of eighty years.


5. Herman Edward Bartz

Herman Edward Bartz was born in Wongrowitz, Germany the 23rd day of February 1876. He came to the United States in November 1888 landing at Port of Baltimore, Maine. From Baltimore he traveled to Ledbetter, (Fayette) County Texas to live with his Uncle Moritz Bartz. In 1894 he came to Williamson County to live in the Walburg community where he drove a freight wagon between Walburg and Austin, Texas. Some of the money he earned at this time he sent back to Germany to his mother in order for her and the remaining children to come to the United States. He applied for his naturalization papers and became a citizen of the United States on April 11, 1902

On August 2, 1900, Herman Bartz was united in marriage to Mary Ullrich of Shelby, (Austin County), Texas, by the Rev. Bogisch in Williamson County, Texas. Three Children were born to Herman and Mary. They lived most of their lives in the Bartlett and Schwertner, Texas, area. Herman E. Bartz passed away July 2, 1944, in Barlett, Texas, at the age of 68.

Mary (Ullrich) Bartz was born September 22, 1875, and passed away November 9, 1959 in San Antonion, Texas, at the age of 84.


6. Adolph Julius Bartz

Adolph Julius Bartz was born August 2, 1877 in Kreis Wongrowitz Germany, Precinct Romshin. He came to the United States when he was sixteen years old in the year 1891. He landed at the Port of New York aboard the vessel "E.M.S." From New York he came to the Walburg Community in Williamson County. He applied for his naturalization papers and became a citizen of the United States in 1896.

On November 6, 1896 he was united in marriage to Etta Mea Jansen at the St. Peters Lutheran Church in Walburg, Texas. They began their life together on a farm in the Walburg area. Thirteen children were born to Adolph and Etta, with three preceding them in death.

In their later years they moved to Nixon, Texas, where they lived until the remainder of their time. Adolph passed away on January 24, 1960, at the age of 82.

Etta Mea (Jansen) Bartz was born in Ostorhtirsum Ausfriesland Germany on October 24, 1877, and died on January 28, 1957, at the age of 79.
