Robo was found by Crono and his group in a collapsed dome in 2300 A.D. He was fixed by Lucca and became her faithful friend and servant since. He wasn't able to recall his original master's instructions, so decided to help Crono to return to their home. During their journey, Robo found his other robot companions whom identified Crono's group as intruders and tried killing them. He was told that he was a defect and that he should be as obedient as them. Robo was 'totally trashed' by the other robots. After beating Robo, they fought Crono and his group. Crono succeeded in the fight and Lucca went desperately to fix Robo again. When he came to, Robo joined Crono and Lucca; he was no longer accepted in his home.
