CONRADCHESS MEMBERSHIP IS FREE .. AND ALL REGISTERED GAMES ARE RATED! To request membership as a Comrade send an email to conradchess@aol.com with the following information: 1: Tell us your first & last name ( preferably real name ). 2: Tell us your user name and your email address. 3: Tell us if you prefer to play 1 game vs 1 opponent, or 1 game vs 2 different opponents .. and .. 4: Tell us if you prefer to play by email or on-line server. YOUR START-UP PROVISIONAL RATING If the basic information that you email us is OK, you will receive a provisional rating of 1200. Then during your first 10 games, you will earn 120 rating pts for each win, 60 rating pts for each draw and drop only 20 rating pts for each loss. Once you have completed 10 games, you'll earn +10 rating pts for each win, +5 pts for each draw and drop only 5 pts for each loss. Our most active members are listed on this RATINGS page. YOU CAN PLAY GAMES BY EMAIL AND/OR SERVER You can request team matches where you play one or more opponents from other chess clubs, and you can even arrange your own games vs individual opponents via email or server. Each non-blitz game you play will qualify for rating points if you list it on this website. THESE ARE OUR 6 RATING CATAGORIES: Above 2800 = IGM International Grandmaster 2600-2799 = GM Grand Master 2400-2599 = IM International Master 2200-2399 = NM National Master 2000-2199 = CM Candidate Master Under 2000 = AV Average Strength LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT Once you have completed 100 games, you qualify for a lifetime achievement which means your rating category cannot fall lower, even if your rating numbers drop.
