"This is your office?"
"No, but I like to come in here from time to time."
"Funny Kassidy."
"Yes this is my office."
"Cool. So will I be in the way?"
"No. I'm putting you to work," said Kassidy.
"You are?"
"Yep. Your first assignment is procuring caffeine. Take this money and go down to the coffee place on 2nd floor. I want a Mocha Chiller with whip cream and get whatever you want."
"OK."
"Grace you can also look around the building. It's an interesting place."
"All right."
Grace disappeared and Kassidy got to work. She checked email and voicemail. She was working on emails when one of her co-workers knocked.
"Hey Kev. Whass'up?"
"Nothing much. Wanted to say hi and see how things are going."
"Good. Have you heard any rumblings about staff this afternoon?"
"Lawrence is playing golf with a new client."
"In other words, no staff meeting."
"That would be my guess. So Jody's after work?"
"Can't today. One of the reasons why is standing behind you with my caffeine."
The guy moved saying, "Oops."
"Excuse me," said Grace, stepping past him.
"Grace Johnson meet Kevin Wadkins."
"Nice to meet you," said Grace, shaking Kevin's hand.
"Likewise. Grace...Grace...Oh I remember, you're the girl Kassidy chaperoned for the Backstreet Boys trip."
"That's me."
"So what's the other reason you can't have drinks with me after work?"
"Some other friends are in town."
"Oh I see how you are. I'm only good enough to hang with when other people aren't in town," teased Kevin.
"I think that pretty much sums it up," said Kassidy with a smirk.
"Oh here just take my beating heart out of my chest. It would be less painful."
"But messier. Now go back to your office and do some work. You know your job."
"Fine. Have fun Grace."
"Thanks."
Kevin walked down the hallway whistling. Grace had a strange expression as she looked at Kassidy.
Kassidy asked, "What?"
"He likes you."
"Yeah, he's a good buddy."
"No I mean he really likes you," stressed Grace.
"Nah."
"How old is he?"
"My age."
"Married?"
"No."
"Ever been?"
"No."
"Don't you think he's cute? I do."
Kassidy stopped and thought for minute before responding, "Yeah he's cute, but I'm telling you we are just friends."
The phone ringing stopped the conversation. They got down to work. Grace helped Kassidy catch up filing. At 11:00, they got some visitors.
"Well ello, ello," greeted AJ.
"Ello yourself. Hello everyone. What are you all doing here," asked Kassidy.
Leighanne answered, "They wanted food and we came to invite you guys."
"Wow small crowd alert."
"Hey Kev. Want to go to lunch with us," asked Kassidy.
"OK, but who is us? Although some of you do look familiar."
As they left the office, Kassidy introduced everyone. They went down to the restaurant, Jody's, on the ground level of the office building. The owner, Jody was in and greeted Kassidy and her party warmly. He ushered them into the private dining room. Kassidy's co-worker, Kevin fit right in. He and Kevin Richardson got a kick out of both answering every time someone said Kevin. Angie visibly relaxed when Kassidy sat between her co-worker and Grace. Nick on the other hand was very quiet. Kassidy assumed it was because Angie was there and he didn't want to deal with another tantrum.
After lunch, Grace headed to the studio with everyone. Kassidy and Kevin went back to work. Grace felt a bit out of place with AJ's girlfriend, Melody Fisher, with him. She had gotten use to just hanging out with him. He was still his usual huggie-self, but Grace didn't feel right. It was even harder because she liked Melody. Melody was goofy and sweet. She was also gorgeous. Melody had decided Grace would have to go shopping with her and Leighanne the next day.
Kassidy arrived at the studio after work. She enjoyed listening to the guys work. She met the engineer they were working with on the project. She sat at the board with him. She had once thought she might like being a recording engineer, but realized she didn't have the patience for it. If she were going to work in a studio, she would prefer singing, but she didn't really have those aspirations either. She had found a creative outline in designing WebPages and helping companies get started.
The guys took a break when dinner was delivered. Kassidy divided her time watching Grace and Nick. Grace was putting up a brave front. Kassidy knew how much it was killing her to watch AJ and Melody. Melody was a good girl, but Kassidy got the feeling she wasn't as into AJ as he was into her. Then
there was Nick. He was not talking to her at all. Once she caught his eye, but he quickly looked away. At one point, Angie left the studio to make a call and Kassidy took the opportunity to talk to Nick. She asked Grace to be her look out. As much as she wanted to talk to Nick, she just as badly wanted to make sure there were no repercussions if Angie caught them talking.
"Hey Nick."
"Hey Kassidy," said Nick, nervously looking at the door and saw Grace.
"Don't worry, Grace is keeping an eye out for Angie. I don't want to cause you any trouble."
"OK. Thanks."
"Nick are you OK?"
"Me? Sure. So you're dating that Kevin guy huh?"
"What? No," exclaimed Kassidy. "He is just a friend."
"But I thought..."
"Well you thought wrong. Nick you ever need to talk I'm a phone call away."
"Thanks Kassidy."
"And if you ever need a place to get away, my door is always open. Talk to you later."
Nick watched her walk away just before Angie walked in. For reasons unclear to Nick, knowing Kassidy wasn't dating that Kevin guy made him feel better. The good feeling was diminished as Angie started whining about wanting him to take her shopping the next day. Angie was his first love, his first almost everything, but she had changed. It had been gradual, but it had happened. It was getting harder to see the person he fell in love with. Luckily they went back to work and he didn't have to think anymore.
It was 1am when the guys finished for the night. Everyone was saying good night. Nick made the mistake of holding Kassidy too long when they hugged good night. Angie was livid. She didn't wind down on yelling at him until 4am.
Grace went shopping the next day with Leighanne and Melody. They ran into Nick and Angie at the mall. Grace watched Nick be led around. It was clear he didn't want to be there, but Grace knew that Angie usually got her way with Nick. Grace also noticed out tired he looked. At one point, he caught her looking at him and gave her a weak smile. Grace decided to tell Kassidy about all she had observed.
"I'm telling you he's not happy," said Grace later that evening over dinner at Kassidy's.
"I know that Grace but what am I suppose to do about it?"
"I don't know, but something," stated an exasperated Grace.
"I wish I could. Unfortunately the only person who can get Nick out of this is Nick."
"I know you're right, but it's hard."
"Just like it's hard to watch AJ and Melody."
"Yes, but Melody is nice."
"I know she is. I hate to say it but I think AJ is heading for a fall."
"Why?"
"I think Melody is not as hung up on him as he is on her."
"You noticed that too?"
"Sure did," replied Kassidy. "But that is another one we can't do anything about."
"Yep and it sucks."
"Sucks big time."
Chapter 17
It was 3 am three days later, when Kassidy was awakened by a knock on her front door. She jumped out of bed grabbing her robe, she walked to the front door with Grace behind her. She opened the door to find Nick.
"Nick? What's wrong?"
"Sorry Kassidy, but you said if I needed to get away come here. Do you want me to go?"
"No. I want you to come in and tell me what happened."
Nick stepped inside and the three friends went into the kitchen, where Kassidy started a pot of coffee. She looked at Nick as she sat down at the table across from him. His was exhausted. The sweats and T-shirt made it was obvious he hadn't planned on a midnight outing. This fact was even more evident, because Billy was not with him.
Nick explained why he was there. He and Angie had gotten into yet another fight. She was berating him about everything from the way he looked to the way he acted to the way he sang and danced. She had taunted him saying he was lucky to have her. She could have any guy she wanted, but he could only get her.
"Something snapped in me," said Nick.
"What do you mean," asked Grace.
"Oh I didn't touch her. I mean I finally had enough. I told her I wanted her out of my life."
"Good for you," encouraged Grace.
"So what did she do," asked Kassidy.
"She called the airlines to book a flight and I came here."
"Nick you left all your stuff there with her?"
"Yeah."
"Shit! What is Billy's number?"
"Why?"
"Nick what is it?"
"Here. Its on speed-dial one," said Nick handing her his cell.
Kassidy dialed and waited for Billy to answer. The other two listened to her side of the conversation.
"Billy. This is Kassidy. I'm sorry to wake you, but it is important. Nick broke up with Angie tonight...yeah he's here with us now...I know he should have gotten you, but Billy listen to me. He left her in the room making flight arrangements and packing. Yes that is exactly what I'm thinking. Thanks man. Take my number. Oh you have? OK. Bye Billy."
"What is Billy going to do," asked Nick.
Kassidy replied, "help Angie pack. That way he can make sure she only packs her stuff. Now did you happen to hear what flight arrangements she made?"
"Um...She was talking to Delta about the first available flight to Tampa.
She was going to exchange her return ticket."
"Good. Come with me."
They followed her upstairs to her bedroom. She powered up her computer and went online. She used her normal online travel service and looked up the first available flights of all the airlines. She found one that left ahead of the Delta flight.
"Nick I'm going to ask you to do something, but first we need to get together with all the guys?"
"OK. I'll call them."
"Good. We need to do it in the next hour."
Thirty minutes later found them all sitting in Kevin's room. Nick had filled them in on what had happened with Angie. AJ, for one, did not hide his happiness over Nick coming to his senses, as he put it. The rest
told him they were behind him 110%.
"So Nick why did you wake us up," asked Howie.
"Cause Kassidy asked me to," he responded honestly and everyone chuckled.
"Kassidy it was smart of you to call Billy and have him watch her until she leaves," commented Brian.
"There's more. Nick she still has a key to your house doesn't she?"
"Yeah, but Billy can get it from her."
"Do you have a key hidden somewhere outside your house? And does she know where it's located?"
Nicks face fell and he said, "Yeah there is and yes she does."
"All right then I am going to ask a favor of you."
"Shoot."
"Can I borrow the money for a plane ticket. I will go down and make sure she doesn't take anything that isn't hers. I will also schedule a locksmith to change all your locks. You will need to notify your security
company and have them change your access codes. I wouldn't ask you to loan me airfare, but a plane ticket to Tampa was not in this month's budget. AJ could your mom or Kelly get me at the airport?"
"Sure."
"Great. Now I have 90 minutes to be on a plane. I found a flight which leaves an hour ahead of hers."
"Impressive," complimented Kevin.
"Not really," deferred Kassidy.
"Wait," said Nick. "Kassidy I'm going with you."
"You can't."
"I can and I will. Fellas you can do without me for the weekend right?"
"If you need it you got it," said Brian.
"Then we are both going. Face it Kassidy you don't know what is mine and what is hers. Besides I need to deal with the fall out."
"All right. Do you still want me to go?"
"Yes," he stated emphatically.
"Then I'm going."
"So am I," replied Kevin.
They all looked at him puzzled.
"I'm going to make sure there is no trouble and we're taking Billy and Carlos with us."
"Do you think it's necessary," asked Kassidy.
"I have a feeling Angie and her family will be backing up to the front door with a moving truck by the afternoon."
"Then I guess we should have everything packed up for them."
"Can I go? I mean, I can help," asked Grace
"Of course, we need another packer," said Kevin with a smile.
Kevin woke up Carlos. He was grumpy until he heard what was going down. His mood improved dramatically. They had been enduring Angie's bratty behavior along with everyone else and were happy to see her go. After grabbing Billy, They headed out. Two of the other bodyguards were escorting Angie to the plane.
In 25 minutes they were at the airline ticket counter. The plane departed on time. Nick laid his head on Kassidy's shoulder and slept during the almost three-hour flight. Touching down in Tampa, the group moved quickly through the airport and got into two waiting cabs.
Arriving at Nick's house, Kassidy went into organizer mode. She sent Carlos and Grace for boxes. She put Kevin to work making the necessary calls to locksmiths, etc. She made Nick go through the house and show her and Billy what belonged to Angie. Billy wisely left Kassidy to help Nick sort through things.
"You think I'm stupid for not ending things sooner."
"No I don't. She was a big part of your life so it was hard to let go. Unfortunately, you two no longer belong together."
"She use to be so different. I swear. You would have liked her. But now she this...this person I don't know anymore. I can't believe I let her treat me so bad for so long."
"I understand. I'm just glad you are finally standing up for yourself."
"You are part of the reason why."
"Me?"
"Yeah. Remember when you told me one day I would know it was time for it to end. I remembered that last night when she was screaming at me. She has yelled at me every night we've been here. The final thing was when she slapped me again."
"Oh Nick," said Kassidy.
"Yeah. I just couldn't take it anymore. I realized I couldn't love her into changing. I would never be enough and I don't want that."
"You shouldn't want it."
"So I slammed out of the room and thought where am I going. The first thing that popped into my mind was Kassidy."
"Yep. I'm glad you came to my place."
"Me too."
Kassidy got Nick to go through the closet. They laid all her stuff on the bed. Billy came back in the room with Carlos, Grace, and the boxes. Billy and Grace helped Nick pack things up in the bedroom, while Carlos and Kassidy started on the other rooms of the house. Kevin helped when he was through with his phone calls.
By 1pm everything was packed and stacked in the living room. Kevin, Carlos and Billy had gone out to pick up food. Nick, Kassidy and Grace waited for the locksmith and security system guy to show up. Kassidy was in the kitchen getting plates out for when the other's returned. Grace was on the phone in
Nick's room, talking to her mom. Nick was walking down the hall when he heard the door open.
"You guys back with the food already?"
"What the hell are you doing here?"
"Angie!"
"It's Angel now dipshit. Answer my question what are you doing here?"
"I wanted to make sure you got your stuff."
"Yeah just like you had Billy make sure I didn't take any of your crap. Like I would want it."
"Yes."
Angie walked into the living room to find the boxes. She turned back to Nick.
"I can't fucking believe you packed my stuff up. I suppose you're getting the locks and things changed. You are!"
Angie took a step toward Nick, but was suddenly face to face with Kassidy.
"Should have know you'd be here."
"Yes," said Kassidy with a smile.
"Guess you are now Nicky's protector."
"Actually, I'm your worst freakin' nightmare."
"I'm soooo scared."
Kassidy took a step forward and in a deadly calm voice said, "You should be. You lay another hand on him and you deal with me. I promise I will hurt you."
Something in her tone made Angie stop.
"Smart girl," said Kassidy.
"Well I'm going through the house and make sure he's not stealing any of my stuff. Like my panties for those lonely nights."
"Angie," exclaimed Nick.
"I see you've shown up," said Kevin walking in the room.
"God Nick did you really need all of them to protect you from me?"
"No we are just here to help pack," answered Billy. "Now if there is going to be a problem then we can handle that too."
"Excuse me. Sorry to barge in but the front door was open. Do you know there are people out on the lawn?"
"Come on in Lamont," greeted Kevin. "Yes I am aware of the people on the lawn, but they are staying out there."
Kevin introduced Lamont as one of the BSB attorneys and asked everyone to join them in the dinning room. Once there, Lamont took over. Pulling documents out of his briefcase, he explained why Kevin had called him. Angie was in for a bit of a shock. The first document was a legally binding confidentiality agreement. She said she would never sign it. Lamont explained it was a mere formality, because of the second document. Her contract with the record company specifically stated under Section XI Article 2.5.6 if she ever said or did anything damaging to Nick, the BSB or anyone affiliated with them or their family and friends it would void her contract. She looked at Nick, but could tell he was unaware of the clause.
Kevin explained he had asked them to add it. Lamont noted the section was highlighted. He told her she really should read her contracts more carefully from now on. He went on to explain the document she was signing at this point was merely showing she understood the agreement she had previously signed. She tried to argue with them, but eventually signed the document.
Her stuff was loaded in the truck she had brought and she was sent on her way. As Angie and her friends left, the locksmith arrived and changed the locks. Soon the security systems person came and made all the necessary changes and checks. Nick thanked Lamont and he left. Grace, Kassidy, Kevin, Billy, and Carlos all picked out rooms in Nick's house to spend the night. Kevin made the arrangements for the return flight to Nashville the following morning.
After everyone was asleep, Kassidy went to Nick's room. She knocked softly on the door then opened it.
She whispered, "Nick."
"Yeah?"
"I wanted to see how you were doing."
"I'm fine"
"Really?"
Nick sat up and looked at her through the dark. She was wearing shorts and a tank top with her hair down around her shoulders. He didn't have to see her face to know she was looking at him with concern.
"Am I that unlovable?"
"What? No!"
"Then why do people do this to me?"
She walked over to the bed and sat down.
"I don't know Nick. Why do people do it to me or to Grace or to anyone else? They have a problem. Angie has a problem."
"But I'm stupid. I let her hang around. I picked her!"
"I know, but you said yourself that she was different. You had no way of knowing she would become this hurtful person. You won't ever figure out why she changed. What you need to look at is what role you played in all of it."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean. What was it about you that allowed you to stay when it was no longer working? Learn from this."
"How did you get so smart?"
"I didn't. I've just lived longer and I have to do the same thing. I hate holding the mirror up to me. It means I'm going to have realize something about myself that I don't want to and change it."
"Thanks for checking on me."
"Sure. When you hurt I hurt, because you're my friend and I care about you."
"I care about you. Do you have to go?"
"No. Why?"
"Because I know I will sleep better with you here."
"Then move over buddy," said Kassidy.
Nick moved as Kassidy lay down. They faced each other as Nick pulled her body into his. She kissed his forehead before they fell into a peaceful sleep.
Chapter 18
"Nick concentrate," order Kevin.
Howie leaned down, whispering, "I think it's time for a break."
"No. He was doing just fine all afternoon. Why does he have that stupid grin on his face?"
"Kassidy," replied Howie.
Kevin turned to see Kassidy standing at the back of the control room and said, "Hey Kassi."
"Hi Kevin."
"Nick we're going to take a 10 minute break," said Kevin into the microphone.
Nick quickly took his headset off and came into the control room. Everyone chuckled at his eagerness. Kassidy just blushed. She pulled Nick out of the control room before he could say anything.
"That boy's got it bad," said AJ after the door closed behind them.
"Yes and he's heading for hurt," stated Brian.
"Why do you say that Rok?"
"Because Bone this crush can't go anywhere. She's too old for him."
"Hey I'm in the room and that's my friend you're talking about," said Grace defensively.
Brian said, "I know Grace. She's my friend too, but you know what I mean. They are at two different places in their lives. Besides she doesn't return his feelings. I just don't want to see my little buddy
get hurt again."
"Why don't we let them worry about what they are to each other," said Kevin.
"Kevin I thought you would agree with me on this," said a shocked Brian.
"Brian I like Kassidy and I think she's been good for Nick. She managed to help him come to the realization that Angie wasn't any good for him. We had been trying to do that for months. So just leave 'em be."
"All right I won't say anything to them."
In a empty office away from the control room, Kassidy asked, "Nick why did you mess up when you saw me?"
"I don't know."
"Do you do it when others come in the control room?"
"Nope. I was just really happy to see you," said Nick with his head down.
"I'm happy to see you guys too, but you have to concentrate so they don't get mad at you."
Still not looking at her, he said, "Oh you're happy to see all of us."
"Yes. Why?"
"No reason. I guess the breaks over," he answered dejectedly as he stood to leave.
"Nick what's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"Nick Carter look at me," she ordered.
He looked into her eyes and asked, "what?"
"I was happy to see you most of all."
With that said, she lightly kissed his check and left the room. Nick didn't move for a minute. He slowly moved his hand to where her lips had touched his cheek. He went back to the studio with a big grin on his face.
Later the same evening, everybody went their separate ways after the recording session. Kassidy and Grace had headed home. After dinner, the phone rang. It was AJ for Grace.
"Hi."
"Hi Pooh. What are you doing?"
"Catching up on emails. What are you doing?"
"Sitting here in the hotel bored."
"Poor baby."
"Exactly. I tell you it's really quiet with Melody gone. I wish she hadn't left."
"AJ you know she had to go back. I mean she's in a TV Series."
"I know, but I miss her."
"I'm sure you do, but aren't you also excited for her?"
"Yeah. I just wish I knew where she was."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean I've been calling her cell off and on all day. I've left messages and she hasn't called back."
"Is she scheduled to work today?"
"I think so."
"Then I bet they've kept her so busy that she hasn't had time to call. Why don't you come over here and
we can watch a movie?"
"I don't know. What if she calls?"
"Bone won't she call your cell?"
"OK I will be over in few."
"Cool. See when you get here."
"Bye Pooh."
Thirty minutes later, Grace opened the door to find AJ and Nick.
"Hey Pooh," said AJ as he stepped through the door.
"Wow Nick you weren't kidding about Kassidy's house of art."
"I told you. Hi Grace."
"Hi guys."
"I've got to see the rest of this place," said AJ as he disappeared down the hall.
He turned on the light in the bathroom and laughed at the "Poop Fairies" and moved onto the door to
the guest bedroom. He saw Grace's things sitting around the room and it smelled like her. He headed down the hall to what he assumed was Kassidy's room. He was right. He opened the door without knocking. Kassidy jumped when he opened the door. She was sitting propped up against pillows reading. She was wearing a wife-beater and shorts.
"Manners Bone?"
"Oops. Sorry Kassidy. I didn't think about you not being decent."
"Good thing for you I was. You would be leaving here walking funny and never allowed back."
"Peace. I come in peace," chuckled AJ.
"Grrr," growled Kassidy, before smiling.
"I brought Nick with me."
"Really? Where is he?"
"Right here," said Nick pushing AJ into the room.
Grace followed him in and said, "AJ gave himself the tour. Sorry he barged in."
AJ said, "I already apologize. Kass and I are cool."
"Kass...who came up with that," asked Kassidy.
"Um...Nick," replied AJ.
Nick blushed and said, "If you don't like it, we will never use it again."
"No it's fine Nick. I like it."
"Pooh what movie are we watching?"
"I don't know."
Kassidy directed, "open the entertainment center there and pick something. Or we can go to the store."
AJ read, "Son-in-law, Three Musketeers, The Net, When Harry Met Sally, Dirty Dancing. Hey let's watch that one. I haven't seen it in a long time and I hear they are coming out with a sequel."
"Works for me," said Grace.
"Kassidy are you going to watch it with us?"
"I need to finish reading this material. I'll come out later. You guys go on."
Nick reluctantly followed the other two out of the room. Kassidy went back to reading. An hour passed before she had finished reading. She stretched and wandered out into the livingroom. She found Grace and AJ making out on the couch. She started to break them up, but they had to go through this...whatever this was. A very uncomfortable Nick was sitting in a chair staring intently at the screen. She walked over to Nick and touched his arm causing him to jump. She motioned for him to follow her. His getting up caught the attention of the two kissers.
"Kassidy," exclaimed Grace, separating from AJ.
"Grace it's fine. I'm rescuing Nick. I know I wouldn't want to be stuck sitting in here with you two."
"I'm sorry Nick," said a blushing Grace.
"No problem," said Nick.
"Kassidy you aren't going to yell at Pooh later," inquired AJ.
"No Bone, because I know this is not going farther than kissing. If it does, I will know and you will be crawling when you leave here."
"Ouch. Deal," said AJ.
Nick followed Kassidy into the kitchen where she fixed them something to drink. Once in Kassidy's room she turned on the TV. Nothing was on so she turned it to VH1. They were doing a marathon of "Before They Were Rock Stars". Kassidy and Nick talked. The TV caught Kassidy's attention when another episode started. It was titled "Teen Idols". Nick blushed and tried to turn the channel. Kassidy tossed the
remote onto the chair across the room and started watching.
Meanwhile out in the living room, Grace and AJ were taking a break from kissing and watched the movie. "Now that is the way to dance," teased AJ.
"OK," said Grace cautiously.
"What?"
"I've never danced like that," said Grace never taking her eyes off the screen.
"You haven't?"
"Nope."
"Well it's time you did. Get up."
"What?"
AJ stood and said, "You heard me. Get up."
"All right," said Grace suddenly becoming bold.
AJ pulled her into him and said "Just remember two things, I lead and relax."
"OK."
He began to guide her body. Her heart sped up, because the only thing separating them was the clothes on their bodies. She tensed for a second when she felt him shift and slide his leg between hers. He whispered relax against her ear. He moved down and pulled her even closer, if that was possible. Grace tangled her fingers in his hair. His arms wrapped tightly around her. Sensations shot through Grace's body that she wasn't prepared for when AJ began to grind against her. She imitated his moves. AJ felt his body reacting to her and tightened his grip. He slid his hand down her thigh and pulled it up so that her leg wrapped around him. Before Grace realized it, AJ had wrapped both her legs around his waist. She pulled back and looked into his eyes. He kissed her. AJ began moving to the couch. He leaned down and sat her on the couch without breaking contact. Grace was breathing hard when he broke the kiss. She searched out his lips again. He was now on his knees in front of her with her legs still around him. He growled when he felt her moving against him. He pulled back and looked at her. She looked so beautiful. Her face was flushed. Lowering his head again, his lips connected with her collarbone. He gently sucked causing her to
moan. It was such a sweet, innocent sound. Nothing like how Melody reacted to him. The thought of his girlfriend made him stop suddenly.
"What's wrong," asked Grace.
"I can't do this. I'm sorry Grace. I got carried away."
"Oh God AJ. I'm sorry. It's all my fault!" "Grace," said.
AJ, forcing her to look at him. "You did nothing wrong. You are the sweetest person I know. I got carried away. It was my fault. Want to watch the rest of the movie?"
"OK. Are you going to tell Melody?"
"No. This was just two friends that got caught up in the moment."
"OK," Grace replied quietly as they went back to watching the movie.
"Nick hush I'm watching you. Oooohhh look at you there. You had the cutest chubby cheeks as a baby." "Kassidy," whined Nick. "Don't watch."
"Come on you're singing in the library right now."
Kassidy suddenly found herself laying on her back with Nick straddling her. She squirmed as he
pinned her hands.
"Nick!"
"Nope. You're not watching anymore," said Nick.
"Fine I'm not looking," said Kassidy with a pout.
"Awww you look cute when you pout."
"So," said Kassidy sticking her bottom lip out farther.
Nick looked at her for a minute before leaning down to kiss her cheek. He pulled back and she looked at him, but the pout was gone. He leaned down again and brushed his lips against hers. Kassidy turned off her brain and leaned up to capture his lips before he could pull away. As they kissed, Nick loosened his grip on her hands, allowing his hands to slide down her arms and her hands tangled in his hair. The kiss deepened as he stretched his body out on top of hers. Kassidy broke the kiss and moved her lips to his neck. Nick moaned when she lightly scrapped her teeth again the sensitive skin of his neck. Before
things could progress more there was a knock on the door. They quickly separated. The movie was over, which meant time for the guys to head back to the hotel.
After the guys left, Kassidy made Grace tell her what was wrong. She knew something was up the second she saw her with AJ. Grace explained. When she finished, Kassidy shared what happened with Nick.
