Here's my last Dyno run. Notice the flat torque/power curve. This gives tons of low end power that holds until around 4000 RPM. Sounds nice, but this is caused by too much advance in the timing. I noticed after this run that I couldn't find another Ram/Dakota with a 360 making power like this with a mostly stock motor. I wondered what I did differnt to create this. Well I think I have found the answer, and it's due to something I didn't do rather than something I did. See Dodge says to change the timing chain at 60,000 miles due to plastic retainers that wear and cause the chain to stretch. Well I now have 150,000 on the truck, and it has started to miss at around 3500-4000 RPM. The slack in the timing chain advanced the timing, and gave me great low end power, but it is also up setting the timing sync and causeing the miss. I'm also having pinging issues due to the advance. So a new double roller chain is going in with 4 degrees of advance. I'll put an update of everything along with a new Dyno run once I get everything done.
