PRUESSNER, Margie Elma SELL 1923 - 2000
Margie Elma Pruessner was born August 5,
1923, in Henry County, daughter of Hobart and Ora Lawler Sell. She died Tuesday,
January 25, 2000, at North Kansas City Hospital. She grew up in Henry County and
accepted Christ as her Savior in her early life and has always been active in the
church. She played the piano, organ and French horn in high school. She graduated
from Coal High School. She worked as a payroll supervisor for 30 years at
Traders National Bank in Kansas City. She sang in trios, quartets and choirs. She
loved to entertain with her family as well as travel and visit with relatives. She
was a very dedicated family person who enjoyed life. She rejoiced in the event of
new births. She and Oscar constantly received pictures of new babies born to
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Survivors include her husband, Oscar of the
home; two sons, Derrel Lynn Pruessner, of the home, and John Keith Pruessner and
wife, Diane, Fredericksburg, son, Jonathon L. H. Pruessner, Lubbock, Texas; step-
mother, Norma Sell Chastain, Clinton; brother Derrell Sell, Kansas City, as well
as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service was held at
Winnwood Baptist Church, Kansas City, on Thursday, January 27, 9 a.m. Funeral
services were held the same day at 2:30 p.m. at Consalus Chapel, Clinton, with Dr.
Douglas W. Crabb officiating. Scott Brooks was at the organ and Candace Fowler
sang "Beyond The Sunset" and "How Great Thou Art". Burial was in Englewood
Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Winnwood Baptist Church or the
American Cancer Society. They may be left in care of the funeral home.
