Testimony | It Is Your Choice | How To Become A Christian | God Loves You

If there is one thing that you will come to know about me is my belief in Christianity. I really do not look at it as just a belief, but rather a way of life. Jesus is the central figure in my life and I would like to have an opportunity to share that with you.

Testimony

In 1982, when I was 14, I gave my heart to God at a revival at Central Assembly of God in Pasadena, Texas. For the next few years, I lived as a Christian should. However, some things happened when I grew into a young adult that drew me away from church and God. It wasn't that being a Christian was no good, but I made some choices on my own without letting God take control. It brought me to the brink of death.
In 1998, after spending 10 years a way from God, I went to a church in Clear Lake and felt God like I have never felt. I joined up with that church and stayed with it pretty heavily for about a year and a half. That church met in the lobby of Nassau Bay Hilton on NASA Road 1. It was called Dominion Church.
I then went to Bayway Assembly of God in Baytown. There I played drums during the worship service and taught teenagers in Sunday School.
I am now attending Lakewood Church with Pastor Joel Osteen.

It Is Your Choice

This is a picture of Jesus No matter what you have done or where you have been, Jesus is always willing to welcome anyone who calls upon Him. He died for us so that we wouldn't have to bear the weight of sin. He can heal every wound, touch every heart and fill everyone with unspeakable joy. Peace like I have never felt comes from being with Jesus. This peace comes at no price because Jesus already paid it for us. It is free to whoever is willing to accept it. That is the key to the whole thing. All it takes is one to accept and believe.
There are so many beliefs in the world today about which way to go. Some say follow Buddha, others say Mohammed, others still say there is no God who loves us. Tragedy is around every corner. Every day men, women and innocent children perish in a cruel world and they are buried in graves that are forgotten about. But, Jesus doesn't forget! He conquered the grave! There is life after death and a wondrous one that is beyond imagination.
But for those who chose not to believe or turn away, there is life, too, but not a wondrous one. For them there is a Hell, not created for them, but nevertheless, a place they must spend eternity. They chose to be in Hell with fire, weeping and pain. They rejected Jesus, who suffered inhuman pain so that we wouldn't have to. It was just a matter of acceptance.
The fact of the matter is, one day, like it or not, we all will die. The human body, in all of its wonder, cannot last no matter what. When that day comes, where would you like to go? In Heaven, with a God that loves, with peace, joy and everlasting love surrounding you at every corner? Or a fiery Hell, with pain and torture and all of the memories of life on Earth when you had a chance to accept the sacrifice and love of Jesus?

How To Become A Christian

If you are interested in becoming a Born Again Christian and spending this life and the next in eternal bliss then read these scriptures carefully.
In John 3:3, it says, "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Born again is spiritual re-birth by adoption to enter kingdom.
In 1 Peter 1:3, it says, "Blessed the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead," God gives us re-birth through Jesus death & resurrection. It is not by just "being good" that we can enter the gates of Heaven.
In Titus 3:5, it says, "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost."
One of the most quoted and beloved scriptures in the Bible is John 3:16. It says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Verses 17-18 say, "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. {18} He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
The most important scripture I can give you about getting saved is found in Romans 10:9-10 :"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. {10} For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Also, in Romans 10:13, it says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." God can not lie. He said it and He will do it. This is the way to eternal life!
