William G. Kibbe 1842 - ?

William Gaius Kibbe was born in Vermillion Parish, La., January 25, 1842. He attended schools in Louisiana, and completed his education at Tulane Medical School. During the Civil War he served with the Confederate forces. With the end of the war in 1865, William settled in Lake Charles, La. and practiced there until 1870. At that time he moved to Perry's Bridge, La. and in 1878 to Abbeville, La. He was married in 1863, to Sophia Walker of Kentucky.
