FLORESVILLE — Running back Lance Walpole rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown as the Floresville Tigers downed the Medina Valley Panthers before an estimated crowd of 2,000.

Walpole finished with 17 carries. His scoring run covered 12 yards and pushed the Tigers to a 26-6 advantage with 6:08 left in the third quarter.

Wes Pelech added 85 yards and one touchdown on 19 carries. His 28-yard scoring run came in the second quarter.

Medina Valley's offensive punch came from running back Jon Fitzsimon, who finished with 100 yards and scored the game's final touchdown on a 15-yard pass from quarterback Blake Weston.

Floresville quarterback Scott Tackitt gave the Tigers a balanced attack, passing for 111 yards and one touchdown. Tackitt's scoring toss covered 17 yards and went to tight end Donald Rowley.
