Jeremy Marcus Fentress was born in the year 2573 in Cardiff, Wales. His parents were both of Welsh stock and had an ancient fairy tale type of romance-raised in the same town, fell in love as children, actually married when they came of age.... Jeremy is the youngest of five children; he has two older brothers and two sisters.

His slightly bizarre sense of humor began manifesting itself early on. As the youngest, he was constantly fighting for his share of the attention, and this appears to have been his outlet. A very bright child, his parents decided it might be best to send him away to school.

He was enrolled in a ten year program at a military academy at the age of eleven. He finished his courses in four years and was bored stiff. His practical jokes, however, continued unabated, and, at fifteen, he managed to blow up the science wing of the academy in a stunt that backfired. He was thrown out of the school with the options that he join Uniglobal Surveillance as a cadet or go to jail. He chose the former.

The first day of his “incarceration” at US Academy, Jeremy collided with a fellow cadet named Kevin Kilcarney. They gravitated together, and Kevin calmed Jeremy down quite a bit, but couldn't dampen his sense of humor, which usually fell on Kevin's head at this stage. By the time it became necessary to assign the boys codenames there was no question that Jeremy was “the Joker.”

The two boys rose swiftly through the ranks side by side. When they were twenty-four, Full House was formed, leading to their “retirement” from Uniglobal. Jeremy took full advantage of his playboy image, often appearing at society functions with a girl on each arm and leaving with neither. Some of his companions were obviously street vixens.

These liaisons were one of the few sources of disagreement between Jeremy and Kevin, and Ace reprimanded Joker on several occasions, to no avail. Four years ago, when Arwen O' Shay began to train for the team, Jeremy began to settle down some....

Bottomline profile: Jeremy Fentress is a highly intelligent, emotionally insecure man who has hidden this insecurity behind his practical jokes for his entire life. He is an electronic wizard and cryptographer extraordinaire. It is easy to underestimate him because of the lazy playboy pose he effects. It is just an act. He is a dangerous man to cross.
