I finally painted it. The pencil drawing was done in spring '99. The painting was done Spring '01. I finally finished my project...well...maybe...

These are Karl's Magic Cards' Box tops. I wanted something to paint one day, so I asked him if I could...he said yes, and this is what turned out...
This is a very special painting. I created this for my friend Tim for his site Sylmarillion Online which is his band's site..it's great...check it out. Anyway, what makes it so special for me, was his reaction to it. Below, in Italics is what he said after I sent it to him.
Without trying to sound too mushy here, your present left me speechless

quite some time. It's really great, better than I could hope for from
anyone
and totaly unexpected.
Creativity, art, and expression is my life and it seems that, although
there
are plenty of talented people around me and they try, no one has ever
before
really touched on that certain level with me where something I do is
represented artisticaly by someone else but presented in such a way
that
makes me want to show anyone and everyone. I guess what I'm saying is
that
I'm sooo proud of a work that's not even mine, it was created by you.
Anyway, I really wanted to show my appreciation.
Your painting is surely going on the website (with your permission of
course) as soon as I can get it to our web guy.
