Strength
By: Sandy Waugh
What greater strength than that which
Comes from the heart?
What greater patience flows than
From the soul?
When wounds are bare
And healing begins,
I find comfort and support,
Amazement and wonder
In your very presence.
The Whisper
By: Sandy Waugh
I look upon your face
And tranquility washes over me.
I yearn to reach out and touch your cheek.
The smile from your lips warms and
Comforts my heart, weary from the world outside.
Like a soft, warm blanket on a frosty winter's eve,
Your voice cradles my soul and brings
From deep within me
That which urgently whispers, "I love you."
Sandy Waugh describes herself as:
"A Financial Aid Officer for a post secondary computer school in Los Angeles, Ca. I am a day-dreamer at heart and writer when I reel my head in from the clouds(most of my writing is done "up there") I did a lot of "drifting in the clouds" to survive the abuse at the hands of my step-father. I have been published in Mary Collin's newsletter, "Survivor Wit". I write for the same reason I breathe."
