The medic is sometimes used as a flag runner. More people choose this class as a flag runner instead of the scout because the medic has a better arsenal yet still has a fair amount of speed. The medic can heal team mates and infect the opposing force. When one of the infected enemies touch another team member they will infect him too. This chain can continue for a long time.

- If you see someone with a flashing cross above their head, immediatly go and heal that player
- Try to strafe around the person while infecting so that he has less time to live
