George Thomas Fisher with his mother Bessie Jordan Fisher. This picture was taken just after the death of George Edward Fisher in 1931. George Thomas was the oldest child in his mid-twenties when his father died. George Thomas held the family of 2 boys and 6 girls together and saved the farm. He was in his late 50's when he finally married and in his 60's when his son Tommy was born. The older women in the picture above are his sisters.
The third son of Thomas Fisher was William Henry Fisher (1839-1888). He married Lucinda Davis in 1869 and raised seven children in Nash County. Pictured here left to right are three of this sons: William Henry Fisher, Jr. and his wife Edna Woodruff, Guy Fisher, and Luther Fisher.
