Daytona USA is a pretty fun game. Graphics are pretty good and the control is absolutley great. There are some problems, however, that keep this game from getting a higher score. These flaws run rampant throughout the game and just screw up any good points the game has.
The first flaw that is the most annoying is the God Awful music. Every track in the game plain out sucks and really needed some fine tuning. There is some guy in the background singing that absolutley sucks. The melody is bad and just screws everything up. Play with your stereo on and your t.v. on mute otherwise you might go deaf hearing his high whiny voice. It will make you cringe. Just a horrible soundtrack.
What may be the biggest and dumbest flaw may be it's replayability. It has none.It has 2 "different" modes of play. They are the same damn thing and includes you just racing around. There are a few tracks to play, I mean a few, and are based on difficulty. There are no hidden cars or stages, as far as I know of., as well as no incentive to play the game again.
Hey if you just love every racing game that comes out then by all means get the game. It costs about 1.99 now and plays great. The graphics are pretty good for an older title but, like mentioned above, don't expect any replay from this game whatsoever as well as any good music. A good diversionary title at best.
