This is the granpa of all the Final Fantasy games and of all the DW games out there.The controls are somewhat sluggish , which hinders this game's score. I never have liked having to press a button to bring up a command screen that featured talk stairs or door. I like just walking up to a door or stairs and switching screens.I know it is a minor gripe but it could have altered the games score by a point or 2.
This was published by Enix, the only company that has a chance to go head to head with Square, and was one of the first games released on the NES.The story is simple. Save the land from the evil man and get the princess in the process.You also have to find 3 treasures that help you and parts of the great warrior's armor.Searching for the stuff is fun.
The battles are fought in first person mode. This is your typical Rpg only fun.The game will let you roam pretty much anywhere you want, but you'll get your ass kicked if you try to go fight magidrakes on level 1.
This is a great game that should be in you classic games library. The ending lets you reject the princess sort of. If you say no she'll keep saying but thou must until you say yes. Overall one of the most reveared RPG's on the NES.
