Nice import surprise:8

When I first played this game it reminded me of a well balanced stree fighter 2. Not too much damage from a fire ball was taken at all.The controls were nice and responsive. The moves are somewhat diffcult to pull off but does not have a major impact on the game.

The game itself is a hard one to master and just to even beat.I spent many a continues on some red machine thing, sorry I don't watch the cartoon.I like the way the game played and the music was really good. The battle machines are masterfully designed as well.

Overall the game is pretty good.Does it warrant a import buy? Probably not. Or at least to me it doesn't. However if you are looking for a japanese game you can pick up and play and:A.love the Gundam series,or B.Love street fighter clones then this game may be for you.

Second Opinion

For the endless drove of SF clones that have either failed or faded into obscurity, this game is a diamond in the rough. Yes, its a japanese game, but it is entirely playable as all important text is displayed in english for non japa-literate gamers.

The concept of the game is nothing new to the Gundam series-a mecha fighter, but it is the first of its kind to be executed well. The graphics are amazing for a SFC game (super famicom), and can be said to be among the system's best.

For a SF clone, it seems to borrow a lot more from the Vs. series, although many features from there originated in this game. Among those include: Super jumps, flying in the air, push and air blocks, Super moves, and more. This game is fun to play and it plays somewhat like a Marvel vs. Capcom on the SFC. Moves and combos are easily done, and the ammo system functions like the super level bar. For those familiar to the Gundam Wing series, all of your favorite mecha return to do battle. Difficulty changes with each battle and there are a couple that will have you wasting continues on.

During its original time, this game was innovative and fun. Though its set precedents are seen in today's fighters, the game still remains fun as ever. Its fun if you like VS. games on lite or a GOOD SF clone, even better if you like Gundam and fighters. Try to get your hands on this treasure, probably on emu.-Joel-
